I been to this place before and they were great and the fresh guacamole was good that time, so I decide to come back because of it but today I come in the restaurant and the food was super salty, to the point I couldn’t eat it I think it was the meat, I was polite and I said it was ok and I decided to order something else, and when I got my second food I got the pinto beans even after I said I don’t like ( frijoles pintos), by this time I lost my appetite and believe me I didn’t wanted a refund or anything because as I told the manager the refund was not as important, but the manager didn’t even try to make it right he just didn’t seem to care as much.
“ No everything was bad because The waiter was great, he was súper profesional and very polite he actually said he was sorry for everything but we know is now his fault, he was the only good thing that the restaurant gave us good today”.
Because even the guacamole was bad this time but I decided to ask for salt and lemon and I add some lemon and salt, so I made it taste a little better something I shouldn’t have to do, very disappointed and completely ruined my dinner night, as now I can tell you I may no ever come back here.
Sometimes is not the price of something but the quality of the services and also the product we get.
Thank you El Ranchero for ruining my dinner and...
Read moreFor the record, I never want to be this guy. This was THE ABSOLUTE WORST fajitas that I have ever been served. Scraps of meat meant to be a leftover treat for the family dog. I immediately stopped eating. When I spoke to the server about it, all she could think to do is to look at me with confusion, then judgement. I asked for the manager to visit our table. It took him almost 10 minutes to come. To my surprise when I looked towards the bar, the manager, our server and another server were looking at our table and having a conversation ( looked like they were talking sh!t tbh ). When he arrived I informed him of my disappointment and even mentioned that this was my first visit to this restaurant. Hagerstown is layered with Latin / Hispanic restaurants. Today happens to be Taco Tuesday. The manager reduced my dissatisfaction to me not wanting to pay for the meal. I made sure he understood that paying the bill was not the issue. He never showed remorse or even offered anything other than a feeble excuse for the kitchen, all while explaining the textures of beef and chicken. He did take the weak fajitas off of the check. I had to go to him at the bar and ask for his name. The highlight of my meal was the chips and salsa and the Mezcal Margarita ( pictured ). Thanks Jose for adjusting the check, but we...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but our recent experience at El Ranchero on Wesel Blvd in Hagerstown,Md was frustrating enough to warrant one. From the moment we walked in, we were met with an unwelcoming attitude. The hostess, Gezil, was shockingly rude. When we asked a simple question about our seating options, she snapped back with a very sassy “take it or leave it.” Not exactly the kind of greeting you’d expect when dining out.
We hoped things would turn around, but unfortunately, the manager, Jose, didn’t help the situation. When we brought up our concerns, he didn’t offer a formal apology—just a shrug and a vague excuse. It felt like customer service was the last thing on anyone’s mind.
The only bright spot of the night was our waitress, Maria. She was friendly, attentive, and clearly trying to make up for the lackluster service at the front. If it weren’t for her, this review would probably be even worse.
All in all, we left disappointed. With so many dining options out there, I’d recommend trying somewhere else where professionalism and hospitality are...
