September 4th 2025 Applebee's Mays Landing 10:30 PM went with my wife for the trio appetizers for $14.99 that were advertised on TV and it showed riblets boneless chicken wings also double crunch shrimp so figured we would start off with one so we ordered the Boneless Chicken and a Double Order of Double Crunch Shrimp so that counts as 3 items we don't like the Riblets obviously too many bones what came out wasn't what was advertised they brought out battered shrimp which is not the same not even close The battered products are always deceiving they look large but that's because of the batter it puffs up when cooked also oily you will see from my pictures when the batteries off the size of the shrimp 😞 since I had an issue before I didn't want to make another complaint so we didn't mention it to the waitress her name was Stacy couldn't be friendly nicer efficient so first rule in any business give what you advertise you don't substitute without informing the customer I've been business with food most of my life so I'm very familiar with the business also you will see this chicken that was boneless they were nuggets I've had the boneless chicken at Applebee's many times this was an insult again you will see the pictures my point was the trio of appetizers worth $14.99 absolutely not I had the pleasure I was talking to the general manager Lauren fantastic person couldn't ask for a better person also I have spoken to the manager Drew and Bryce also both very nice I was disappointed but I did leave a message that I did leave a message the 12th of September and was expecting a phone call by the 15th I was told I know sometimes they don't get all messages that's why I'm writing this all Applebee's employees and service and atmosphere always great I want corporate to realize this is their problem I'm in addressing not Mays Landing Applebee's you're specials you've been running all you can eat shrimp boneless chicken riblets a little pricey your next one to replace it in July with boneless chicken chicken tenders and riblets all you can eat failed miserably you never put two chickens together that was a waste of money we were very disappointed here's my dilemma I'm afraid to go back because I'm afraid that if we have another problem that were just complainers and I don't want to be in that category as I write this no one knows my background of all the experience in the food business I've been in I am 75 years old and retired I've done a lot of great reviews about Applebee's we've traveled all over and always find an Applebee's every adventure you can't have the best and I realize that so that's why I'm saying if you were in my shoes what would you do worrie how your food is going to be next time you go because it isn't what it should be then do you complain and now you're that customer that is known as the complainer just looking for a free meal my view is always been the same when I was in the food business all the years I was in like the customer I just want to pay for what I get no more no less go ahead and have a nice meal enjoy yourself and pay your bill I don't want to go in and go back and forth with a problem to save some money or in any way get something free it's just good business that your experience is the best it can be as we all know too much competition out there to be known as a company that has repeat problems that's why I'm bringing this up we have had too many great times at Applebee's let me emphasize one more time I would give it a five stars for the management and service and atmosphere and friendliness but I gave it a three stars because of not getting what was advertised the double crunch shrimp that we love and the size of the chicken nuggets not boneless wings please work on your specials before you bring them out thank you for reading this and the last thing is I have no way telling people Applebee's has issues I just had a couple of bad nights I highly recommend Applebee's believe it or not a lot of my gifts to friends and family are gift cards...
Read moreSometimes my family goes to this and other places like Texas Roadhouse a few times a week because we are always running around to places doing errands. The quality of service and food in Wildwood has gone down while the prices go up. We drive out of our way to come to Applebee's and places around EHT to get the good stuff! Well walking in Applebee's today the gentleman at the door Reggie was extremely happy, welcoming and wonderfully accommodating to my family but especially my 85 year old grandmother with a walker. He went above and beyond assisting her with opening both doors in and out, walking with her to the table instead of a distance ahead of her & making sure the whole family had enough room at our table. Our server Chelsea was on point and so excellent, she made sure consistently we had everything we needed and ordered which was a lot! We order more than we can eat all the time and take stuff home. When she noticed we didn't eat all of our appetizers, she asked if everything was to our liking, we said yes but we always order too much, she immediately offered to bring to go containers & a bag so the table could be cleared for our main courses or if we still wanted the appetizers on the table with our food! She kept clearing our table as she was moving and helping her other tables. She made sure we were ok with everything a few times. The staff today was exceptional and really worked well as a team, we even had a gentleman not sure if he was a food runner or another part of the wait staff, but he was gladly helping his coworkers even smiling all the way from the kitchen to table. I know my family especially me are hard to please, today I wanted the manager Fred to know, we eat out frequently at different places, even there frequently but today's experience was exceptional. My Grandmother made sure to say "best staff she has seen in years, the waitress was top notch and one of the best and said she thinks the world of Reggie" I even joked with her on the way out she couldn't take Reggie with her. Thank you for the five...
Read moreThis is for July 1st 2025 at the Mays Landing Applebee's this is two different reviews past and present I don't know why it wouldn't let me do a new review so I'm going over top of an all review the review below was for $12.99 this one now is $15.99 it was all the riblets you could eat all the chicken tenders you can eat and all the boneless chicken the problem is it was a bad idea to put chicken tenders also chicken boneless wings and riblets Bad combinationI for the month of June they had shrimp with chicken boneless and riblets definitely the way to go you can see the pictures they give you a lot of french fries big coleslaw the first dinner came out three slices of riblets a lot of fries and a big coleslaw on a refill got the chicken tenders two pieces came out the chicken after that after this didn't want boneless chicken the shrimp would have been something they kept definitely not worth $15.99 the second dinner five chicken tenders came out we're very dry and disappointing also alot of fries large coleslaw next refill was two small riblets{ so my opinion was the one below for $12.99 was what they should have kept the shrimp the riblets and the chicken you never put two chickens together for all you can eat it's basically the same thing I feel as though we didn't get our money's worth absolutely not chicken tender like I say was dried out probably been around for a while in today's world $15.99 you got to do better than that we will not be going back for all you can eat that's for sure the waitress was the best thing about the night she was on top of everything her name was Erin that's the only five stars I can give it it's to her} below you see I gave a great review already did a review once a while back and it was $12.99 all you could eat riblets chicken shrimp what I didn't like was the French fries 🍟 skinny cold and oily coleslaw needs flavor also had $1 drink of the month couldn't beat that so get the french fries right and the coleslaw and you got a great...
