Scattered, smothered , covered, chunked topped, diced, capped peppered, topped, lolololol the best place to get superior tasting coffee and hash browns cooked as you request them. Texas Cheeses steak sandwich or cheese steak egg omelet is so delicious you will want to take a second one home with you for a snack. The grits served here is the best in the south. The grill operators are absolutely amazing flipping eggs without spatulas.
I miss this old place, 739 on SW RR in Hammeond, La. Where i met my sweetheart, a new grill op in town, 20 years ago. I worked the nightshift and was the best running waffle salesperson/ waitress and scored about 130 bucks 10 hr shift on weekend nights. A great place to start a career, a family frieny place to dine. So many customers wonder why it is always freezing in waffle house so much that the windows are frosted. Im going to share a lil.secret witb you. The answer is.... so the salespeople can continue turning tables. Waffle Houses are small with a large customer base.
When customers want to sit and lounge for four hours this leaves others waiting for seating and it leads to a salesperson making less than minimum wage. It slows down the grill op job by having less food to cook which leads to a decrease i sales for the units overall profit.
Waffke House staff love customers and would love to have you for a visit, a short visit that is.While the staff does nit want to be rude by ever asking customers to leave. Just a way to speed up the whole process and allow otbers to enjoy visiting Waffle House too. Apply for a Waffle House hourly position and you just might make a career that leads to a valuable long lasting postion and regular customers who become close friends. Waffke House has a menu filled with a large selection of great tasting food fir anyone to enjoy. Sit and dine in, place a to go order by phone or at the bar.
Waffle House emoyees afe highly skilled and trained to wait on and please customers. This us what makes this place so awesome. Their staff consists of an experienced team of members who want to making your dining experience exciting and they want you to return time and time agaIn. Did you know that 739 has suffered a decrease in sales due to the most recent development in the highway circkles that allow for smoother traffic flow. Due to this, many customers get confused when driving these circles and they end up in a completely different place while the whoke time they are trying despatetely to reach the waffle house parking lot. I have worked 739.before the highway circles were developed as well as after and my income was a lot less because there were fewer customers after the circles were developed. I believe if there was a larger parking area and a sign lower to the ground pointing to the waffle house entrance the sales will increse once again. During the nigh shift when it us harder fir drivers to see is when this situation is worse. Thakjs for letting me share my knkwledge with everyone. Hope you Waffke House vusit us an...
Read moreIt was a true blessing to accept a given direction God led me to this morning for breakfast. He not only directed me to this location to become fulfilled with a simple outstanding meal but also a link to appreciating the trueness of being Accountable as a team. The actions that were shown led me, not just for a future sermon to His children, but also the courage to maintain my Family together as one. Running a busy is maintained just like securing a home, a community, a church, and ourselves.
The team presented a wide welcome smile at the door, even though this dreary rain was making it hard to get in.
That outstanding character and service given by Ginger kept me in being appreciated as a child of God.
Then to see some of the top Team leaders, not just employees, connect Waffle House's accountability to Lead by an example, Display its purpose, Operate to Lead by an example, and Provide outstanding appreciation unto each other to help customer service become appreciated.
Thanks, Alyssa & the floor crew for taking that 1st step in making my favorite dish "Old-Fashion" Chicken Omelet (miss the salsa y'all used to offer), something many of the cooks don't hardly get right. Randy, Syndie, and many others of the Southern Louisiana Area Team. Not to forget Region Manager - New Orleans Gabrielle Jones for the Great Inspirational Spirit and Service given.
May each of you continue standing strong together as a...
Read moreI had one of those food craving moments where I wanted a breakfast meal but I didn't want to be the chef and it was a little late for the breakfast club type diners that I normally frequent. That left the IHOP or the Waffle House. I've been a loyal patron of the WH since the late 60's. IHOP is a bit more upscale and I just wanted a simple breakfast. This Railroad Ave. location has been one of my "go-to" WH's for decades. The service was great and friendly and my food was almost perfect. One of my two eggs was slightly overcooked from what I had ordered. It was still absolutely good. The bacon was perhaps the least greasy and crispiest in recent memory. I enjoyed my cheese grits and introduced myself to their sausage gravy bisquit that I have been wanting to try but hadn't because my regular choices always just come out of my mouth like an automatic ordering machine. Today I had presence of mind to try it and was surprised to see that it was on the $2:00 menu. I like what I tasted but with no room left to indulge, I had to take it home via the "go-plate". If I were to suggest anything about the bisquits and sausage gravy, I would say remind your waitress to "make sure it's hot" because I felt it was just a tad cooler than I thought it should...
