The review I am leaving is based on my experience and not about anyone or specific department within Kay jewelers. I took two of my watches there, one just needed a battery and the other was needing to be repaired.
The watch that needed to be repaired was a simple, inexpensive (150$ - 250$) and mass produced seiko. The watch was my ten year company watch. I dropped it off to be sent off for repair at this location on 12/22/22ish +-. After a month I started to call and did not receive any detailed information from anyone with all 4 calls. The forth time I called I was told 3/28/23 was the ETA on my watch. The watch only needed a the steam and grown replacement, and I was told it was going to be fixed and polished within the amount I paid. I finally spoke to the district manager, who was professional, intelligent and informative. He told he would speak to the store and get back with me. He called back to confirm the 3/28/23 ETA. Fortunately the watch showed up 2/27/23, It was In working condition but was not polished! two months! to replace a steam, crown and polish in a mass produced seiko watch?
The district manager is great, some of the people in the store are good. A few could definitely use some communication and costumer service training courses. I personally will not be going back to them for anything. If this is what can and did happen with a cheap watch I definitely wouldn’t trust them with my expensive watches.

Read moreThe lady was very rude. She had the gall to ask my friend and I if we are planning on buying or just "Playing".
My friend, her boyfriend, and I went to look at rings. She was getting proposed to that day actually (tho she didn't know) and I am planning to get proposed to soon. I have been searching for a teardrop ring that I like and have been alternating between the Zale across the street and Kay. It had been a few months so I decided to look again for the right ring. I ask her to look at two teardrops and she takes them out. As I am looking, I told my friend "I am so excited for when he proposes. I enjoy looking at the rings to show him what I want." We were then asked if we intend to buy anything or if we were just playing. The lady was very condescending and rude.
At first we misheard and thought she said 'planning' to which we explained "Ues! We are planning to be proposed to soon and are looking for ideas'. She responded with "I said playing."
Now my friend and I are both 21 so we look young but I know many people who get engaged in this age range.
We were appalled at this as most people look at rings prior to just buying one. We left immediately. It was rude and uncalled for as we are definitely planning a proposal.
Hate to tell the lady that my friend got proposed to that same day. It was NOT a Kay ring. This location will never get my business after...
Read moreI honestly don’t even think they know where my wedding ring is. I’ve called twice and been told two different things. My fiance was even told something totally different! Saturday I was told my ring would be back on Monday. I called Monday and was told it won’t be in till Friday. I have been given the run arounds since dropping my ring off in December. Kay’s has completely lost my business I will be going somewhere else for my bands.
I’m also losing my deposit on my engagement pictures because they have gave me different dates. Maybe I’ll have better luck going across the street to Zales...
