First off, I have a super bizzy schedule with rehab from a potentially life ending accident and work and being a single father. I purchased a cd/DVD player that will run my existing factory backup camera and tv monitor. I reinterated several times what I needed in the double den and that all the parts to do the install are purchased with the den so there will be no hangups and install can be done on the initial date. Arrived for my installation appointment, after the installer removed my deck he noticed the floor people have me an incorrect part & I needed another part also & none are on hand, so the parts would have to be ordered. The installer is very professional and he and the manager made the first mishap good, by paying for a part, however the 2 parts would have to be ordered and shipped to me. 1 part came on time, the other part never shipped, but I didn't get an alert notice until 1147pm of 12/12/19! Mind you the new install date is on the 14th. I called the store & literally fell asleep on hold several times waiting to hear a humans voice, no answer. I stopped by the store and told them what's going on with the part not being shipped and my install being cancelled. The manager (black shirt) told me he would refund me for the non delivered part and I WOULD HAVE TO ORDER THE PART MYSELF!!!! I POLITELY ASKED FOR A BAG & TOLD THEM IM RETURNING IT ALL, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY, TIME CONSUMING & STRESSFUL ORDEAL! My fiance' and I went in to purchase a laptop that was shown online as being an open box purchase in the Hammond store. We were greeted immediately by Crystal in the computer section and she was very helpful. Unfortunately she was unable to help us locate the item. She checked her system and it showed that the computer was in stock so she called the warehouse. Star came from the warehouse and also attempted to assist us in finding the item. While assisting us, Crystal attempted to call her manager twice with no response. We then went to customer service and they contacted the manager (Joseph Henderson) upon which he questioned what we wanted and why we couldn't be helped by other staff. He then had us wait a good 5-10 minutes before entering the floor & before greeting us he stopped to ask Crystal what the problem was and then to socialize with other staff. When he approached us he was quick to say he couldn't help us and instead of offering alternative solutions he proceeded to lie about the system (which we had already been told otherwise). He told us we could go back and look at other computers with Crystal but that was all he could do. It was evident that our customer satisfaction was of no concern to this manager and we decided to leave. Read moreI would give Best Buy a zero if I could. I use to love buying items from Best Buy, but the two most recent experiences were the worst! I ordered an Insignia, 18.1 CU FT, Refrigerator this week online from this store location. I received a damaged refrigerator, and refused it upon delivery ( It was dented severely in the front, as if a hail storm had hit it). The delivery service took it back. It took 24 hours just to contact customer service for an exchange, in hopes that the next refrigerator would be brand new. Today, May 25, 2022, I received the second refrigerator that was dented from the side, and the entire back of the refrigerator was off, with the wires exposed, which could have caused a fire. In addition, beneath the refrigerator was pure metal, which damaged our laminate floors. I called Best Buy customer service several times, spoke with about 4 to 5 different customer service representatives, who would not switch me over to a Supervisor or Superior. One of the reps hung up in my face! Also, I was refused a full refund for the second defective refrigerator that they sent out through a third party delivery service. Not to mention that the, third party delivery service providers have not been screened for your protection so be aware because you don’t know what type of people that are delivering the merchandise to your home.
