T.J. Maxx — Local services in Hammond

Worst experience ever, absolutely terrible! I Went shopping at TJ Maxx today and I found a jumbo size dog bed (none of the dog beds have price tags, a lot of the items did not have a price, which seems sketchy to me.)I asked the front greeter if I can hold the dog bed up here while I continued shopping so I don’t knock over anything. The greeter stated “ it looks like the area behind the cashier is full, but you can leave it here next to me and I will watch it.” After I was finished shopping, I went up to grab the dog bed and it was gone. I asked the lady that was watching it for me and she didn’t know where it went either and asked another employee if they did. The employee informed us that it was put back. The gentlemen who put it back said “he didn’t know why it was there and put it back”. At that time, I noticed that the dog bed was in someone’s cart when they were about to check out. I told the gentleman who put it back that it was being held for me and to tell the lady that you’re sorry but it was being held for someone else before she purchased it. He told me “ no that’s not right because my name wasn’t on it and it wasn’t held behind the counter. I explained that I had asked your employee to hold it for me. The gentlemen paged, Catherine the manager to the front who I again explained the situation to and while I was explaining it the gentlemen kept interrupting me stating “it didn’t have her name on it”, I stated “ what did you want me to do, go behind the counter and put my name on it.” The employee who was suppose to be holding, admitted to the gentlemen and manager that she told me she’d watch it and didn’t know to put my name on it. Went to TJ Maxx today in Hammond Square. The store was in an orderly state and the aisles where attractive to look in. I like when things are organized. The Fall and Halloween section was really nice. Gets you in the fall mood. Beautiful dresses and handbags. Wide selection of stylish clothes and I loved the pet and home good sections. The store boasted clean dressing rooms and staff was very friendly and helpful. They had many people working to get you in and out fast. Was a great day for shopping. The people at this target are very friendly and I have good experiences every time I come in this place. Never anything bad to say about it. I will say that since the covid thing Starbucks in the store has removed all their sit spaces. This I find a little bit upsetting. I think as long as they space them out it would be good and they should allow that especially if you pay in five bucks for a coffee. This does not reflect on the service though the service is always very friendly at the Starbucks as well I just wish they would put the...
