Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Harker Heights

I heard about you guys through my gym while we were having a grand opening. Decided to take brochures and coupons that would give our gym members a chance to check out the new location. Later on that week Me and my wife went to try it out ourselves. She order a chicken bowl that was a little too spice far as the sauce but we switched it to ranch and I ordered the club sandwich with two smoothies. From that visit we decided to make this a regular spot and I went back to my gym promoting the store even more. My wife and I have gone so much the team members would greet us with hey you guys you’re back! Just that alone made us happy. This past Saturday I went in and tried to use my app for the five dollar reward and it wasn’t working correctly, so the owner as he say told me to delete it and redownload again. After loading it back up all my points were no longer there and the only thing he said was oh well it should’ve worked the first time. So I said are you telling me I have to spending 55.00 dollars all over again to get back to square one and he goes to say yes do you want your food or not and so I said you know what I’m leaving. Today this morning my wife and I decided to give it another shot. We have literally tried every bowl, wrap, flatbread and sandwich so we decided to try breakfast menu this morning for the first time. Ordered our wraps for dine in and they were put into bags as if he was telling us to leave. So we ask was there anyone here that’s over you because we seem to always have a problem. He goes to say I’m the owner we don’t have corporate and no one is my boss. I said okay that’s fine we just won’t come back, can I at least use my coupon for the 1.99 survey for a smoothie and he said nope you can’t you can use on next purchase and I said well that’s never happen is that something new, well whoever was doing for you guys I will make sure they are fired because he shouldn’t have happen. I said are you sure it wasn’t suppose to happen or are you just giving us a hard time again? If that’s the case I have another survey in my wallet I took can you use that one. No I can not it may be a code you just made it, so I said you’re not even going to try and see and He said if you don’t leave I’m going to call the cops. I told him call them I’m not leaving because I haven’t did anything to you besides ask for the right customer service. I’ve been here too many times and have sent too many people here to be treated as such. My wife came in and told me she reached out to one of the corporate branches and will be waiting on a phone call from regional so we can leave. Let me start by saying that I always look for negativity in things. But I was shocked about this facility. This place popped up in my google search as a local healthy food place. I did start to read the lowest reviews to hear the bad about this facility. I really loved the fact that the representative from the business did put responses to most of those reviews and that made me decide to stop by. The location was really great. People around here can really understand that how lucky and blessed we are to have such a good place I. This area. Upon waking in, the facility was well landscapes and clean. I saw six employees in action. As I walked towards the counter, I can see that it’s a very well defined menu for the consumers and the prices were surprisingly economical. They were even less than any fast food combo meal mostly while enjoying healthy food. I ordered a mocha shake with whey protein choice. Also, ordered The hummus veggie bowl with 2 extra portion of chicken. All together was around $14. This was unbelievable. The staff were friendly on discussing the menu since it was my first time. They gave me coupons and informed me about how to get maximum benefit from their store through downloading the apps. The shake and foods were amazing. I am a seasonal physique builder. I watch what I eat and I can just see myself being here 4-5 times a week. I even plan to bring my workout friends here as well. I can not wait to try out all the other tasty menu items. The worse experience I have had in a restaurant. The owner ( Eric or manager ) was so rude cussing and didn’t have no type of customer service. We had done a survey the last times we have been there and again did one today and tried to redeem the coupon for a smoothie for 1.99 and instead of him explaining that we had to use it at the time of purchase. We told him that when we have came here over 9 times and used them he said well his staff is wrong. And instead of him saying ok I can do it this one time but this is the way they have to be used he begin to not only yell at me and my wife but cussed at us as well. Said he would call the cops on us. I was so shocked. We purchased our food sit down to eat and everything and then when trying to get a smoothie to have when leaving he has the nerve to say he will call the cops. Worst time the worse way to handle anything being in a customer service establishment. I would never tell anyone to go there with that type of person running it. I not Only was very hurt at the way he handled and spoke to us I was shocked he felt it was okay. I pray and I so mean i Pray that this man not only will feel the way he made us feel but God and karma will handle him. It’s sad to know that people are not doing things right. Very sad.
