Five Guys — Restaurant in Harlem Township

It’s been a while since we have eaten at Five Guys. This was a new location and we decided to give it a try. We don’t really eat fast food but they make their fries with Peanut oil and they are the main reason we went. Love the fries. We got a burger with two patties , cheese, onions, peppers and some mayo. We knew the food was over priced but we wanted the fried mainly! Did I mention we love the fries there lol. Anyways, the burger was disgusting. The meat was fresh just like they advertise but had zero flavor. Just two patties full of grease and no flavor. The peppers we asked to be sautéed and they were still hard. After two bites the peppers became the best part of the sandwich and that was bad. We got a shake and the shake is always good there but for the prices they want there isn’t any excuse to cook meat so badly. This is exactly why we eat at home. Maybe I’m spoiled but I’m use to flavor in the meat. I never write complaints but felt like I need to because lately these places over charge and think the food is good. You have to have zero taste buds to like that meat and to make it worse I was in the bathroom 30 minutes later at home begging for the pain to go away. I don’t know about you guys that read this review but I’m tired of spending put hard working money on below average food. I know you get what you pay for but this is why I’m writing this complaint, for 40$ plus dollars for two people the food should be at least eatable. Tired of these corporate company’s serving us Americans the worse foods the world has to offer. No complaints on the employees they all seemed nice and did their best with what they had to work with. However the cook could of done a better job...

My husband ordered today as was first time for him trying it as I have had great experience with Five Guys about 8 years ago. So without details on the delivery menu we ordered 2 regular cheeseburgers and a large fry for delivery as only 8 minutes away. So with limited details on menu we were wondering what to expect. Order delivery took about 10-15 minutes longer than should. So when received order and opening bag the smell was great! So we dished the two burgers and fries up and when we opened the burgers up my gosh they are double cheeseburgers and real cut fries, great! So we get to eating our burgers and I had a similar to a deluxe burger and the complaints I have with mine is should be stated as sweet pickles and the biggest punch was one patty was perfect medium well but other was rare medium which is hard to eat to my preference and was cold to touch. My husbands was good but slightly cold and due to delivery. So the fries great flavor and love the fresh cut but our complaint is could have been left in fryer another minute or two as some were great others were still harder potato taste. So I give the delivery version a 50% as if we order again will be pick up or eat in. Price will scare you but would say if not delivered would expect a well...

The people working here are always pleasant. They say hello when a customer walks in, and will occasionally look around the dining area to ask if everyone is doing alright and if anyone needs anything. The dining area is clean and the music variety they play is great. It's not just one particular genre.

The food is excellent quality. there are so many topping choices one can add to their burger without any extra cost. The patties are always cooked just right, the veggies are fresh, and the buns taste fresh. And the fries?! Fresh cut and served hot with nearly a whole other serving in the bottom of the bag. If you order 'to go' they won't start the fries until you get there and check in. That makes them still taste great at home.
