T.J. Maxx — Local services in Harlem Township

Wish I could give less than a complete star. I will never return to the store located at W. Lane Rd in Machesney Park ever again. Today was my first and most definitely my last time. The merchandise for home decor was disappointing. But what really blew me away, were the two caucasian women that were standing at the front counter when I walked in. One was an employee, and the other a customer. They stared at me, until I was pretty much out of their eyesight. They both looked at me like they wanted to yell hey! Did you not see the no colored people allowed sign on the way in?!...

This store never has anything good. Everything is picked over. No socks, no playmats for kids. Men’s grooming section bare. Idk if it’s just that busy or what the deal is. We moved from Crystal lake area and greatly miss that store. I guess it’s good for my wallet though.

Also, something I noticed is the line will be all the way out almost to the door 1-2 cashiers AJ’s they’re moving at a snail pace chatting it up. Particularly a lady with a thick accent. Sold me a Bluetooth headphone box with everything EXCEPT for the actual headphones/earbuds in it. Didn’t notice the replacement tape while I was in the store. Guarantee someone returned the box and it was put back on the sales floor with zero inspection. Not even worth going back there and being accused of being some sort of a thief because I’ve seen this situation before. Pathetic. Retail is literally the easiest job...
