I never write reviews, but I have been so disappointed by this place that I can no longer let it slide. I have visited Tropical Smoothie a handful of times, mostly out of convenience and a lack of other "healthier" fast food options on my commute between jobs. I would say that 85 percent of the time, I am disappointed and irritated by the amount of money I spent on a subpar product. Their smoothies are okay, but the food is mediocre, and there is zero consistency in the beverage and food items you receive. Sometimes it's decent; other times, I question why I thought going to this restaurant was a good idea in the first place.
All of this said, tonight was my last straw. I have had the Bahama Mama smoothie bowl in the past, as it is my favorite smoothie, and I decided to give them another chance tonight. I spent $12 on this smoothie bowl, only for it to be completely frozen solid. The blueberries were mushy, and I received only two pieces of pineapple and four strawberries. I am not one to complain, but for $14 with a tip, this is outrageous. I am writing this simply to grapple with this thievery I've...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting the Tropical Smoothie Cafe in McChesney Park, Illinois, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The staff at this location truly went above and beyond to provide the best service possible. They were knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to answer all of my questions, ensuring I made an informed choice. And when it came to the smoothie itself, it was nothing short of perfection. The blend of fresh fruits, and a touch of sweetness created a harmonious flavor that danced on my taste buds. The presentation was impeccable, with vibrant colors and a beautiful garnish. The attention to detail and commitment to quality at this Tropical Smoothie Cafe were evident in every sip. I left the cafe feeling not only satisfied but also grateful for the outstanding service and the opportunity to indulge in the best smoothie...
Read moreThis is a nice enough place, but the management needs to stop nickel and diming customers. I ordered a cup of tap water and was charged 25 cents for it, leading me to cancel this item. This should be provided as a courtesy to customers. The cost of the cup to the store is likely less than a penny, and there is no need to charge a quarter to cover costs. Charging for things like this discourages customer loyalty.
Also, I wonder why the business does not offer recycling? For a business themed around natural health, this would seem appropriate. I suppose the theme is just a marketing plot (to make money) and does not reflect a true commitment to the well-being of the...
