Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Harlem Township

There's no flat surface in this restaurant that's not sticky. The floor is like walking on spilled soda EVERYWHERE, the table tops are never clean, your elbows stick to the table. You have to order your own food at a kiosk which is also sticky. We came back here because we heard that they switched to tallow for their fries and the fries are indeed better than before. But it sadly does not redeem the restaurant from the stain of being a gross place to be and you don't know what is going to get on you because it seems like every surface has had milkshake or soda residue rubbed onto it with a rag. It takes a pretty long time to get your food, the restaurant seems to be understaffed and you have to scan a barcode to get your drink out of the soda dispenser but the barcode doesn't work even though the drink has been paid for and because of being understaffed we didn't even bother trying to get the soda. Once again I'm reminded why we don't go to steak and shake. If they would solve these problems it would be a decent restaurant to go to first thing is they need more staff second thing they need to get this place clean and keep it clean. Maybe the extra staff could help out with that and then there would be less of a security issue with teenagers stealing soda and they wouldn't need that ridiculous mandatory barcode thing. Very disappointed in this last visit! The cook had no hair net and beautiful hair. Wel, that beautiful hair is not welcome in my burger! The floors were so sticky I had to curl my toes up in my het dudes to keep them on! And no toilet paper in the bathroom that has a full garbage. The shake I had was supposed to be an Oreo shake it was strawberry flavored. So someone didn't rinse the machine between shakes! Gross! I was refunded for the burger and asked for a cup to finish my shake anyway because I'm not a complete jerk. But when I got down the road and all of the sudden get freezing cold shake pouring out the side of the cup I got so mad! How the hell is this any kind of a acceptable? I got it things happen but cleanliness and good customer service is all it really takes to keep a person coming back.
