(2/2)Juan who is another manager there isn’t really the brightest I must say. He wasn’t as bad as people made him seem or so I thought. Until he became very jumpy and always running around telling us to keep walking around the restaurant even if we had already checked on our tables or were just waiting for their food to come out. Come to find out that this man is a coke addict and was never sober for work. He literally made the busser mop the patio one time. How ridiculous is that???? When have u ever heard of someone mopping cement???😂😂 He always wanted to leave early and every time we needed help to remove an item from the system for a table he would send us to our manager alex who actually helps us. He showed that he didn’t want to deal with stuff when we came to him about it and if we did it would take him a while to even get to it. It’s sad to sad to say that this place used to do so well before they came along. Unfortunately I made the decision to leave and remove myself from a toxic environment. Also as 20 year old woman, I can’t believe a 30 some year old manager would act so immature and unprofessional. It really shows that some people never really grow up and how unhappy they are with their lives. Now that I have left, other servers have reached out to me after two weeks of me quitting because they just found out i quit. They have called me and texted me asking if i was okay and letting me know that I didn’t deserve any of the treatment i got there from roxi. They didn’t think I had it in me to actually walk away and now since i have left two other people have gotten fired. so now the question is are we the problem or is management the problem??? BIG Thank you to chef Arnold & Eazy and to our manager Alex for everything you did to better me as an employee. I really appreciate everything they did and continue to do for others. They really do look out for their own and go out of their way to create a good relationship between their employees and make sure they...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Walk On's for lunch at about 1:30. There weren't that many people, and we were seated quickly. The menu is quite extensive, and there are plenty of options for whatever craving you may have. My wife and I didn't have much time to eat, so we ordered something that we thought would be quick. I ordered a simple bacon burger, and my wife ordered chicken alfredo. We also ordered a starter of spinach artichoke. The starter came out at a reasonable amount of time as well as our main courses. Unfortunately, the burger was quite dry and not worth the price. Same for the chicken alfredo. It was very standard and more reminiscent of bar food. Their bar has a great selection, and it looks like the menu is very much catered to those who are having drinks rather than someone who is strictly going just for food. It took quite a while for us to get our ticket to pay and leave because a small school team of about 15 to 20 students came and took 3 or 4 people to attend to that specific table. Overall, it's a great place to relax and watch a game, but don't expect it to be a great dining experience. You will have a great time if you have time to just kick back and enjoy some drinks and hang out with friends. I would recommend going at least once to try the various options of food they...
Read moreMy friends and I come to this place pretty much every day and have since it opened. All of the bartenders, servers, and managers know us by name and always greet us with a smile when we walk in. The beer is cheap and good selection. The freezer recently just got an upgrade so if you’re looking for a mug that has frost, this is the place. The food is good and most of all consistent. If there’s ever a problem, it’s quick to be remade and rarely does that happen. From the red beans and rice to the wings to the seafood platter, you can’t go wrong—make sure you download the app so you can earn your points too! Roxie, Juan, and Arnold run a tight ship but you can tell the staff respect them all and enjoy working for them. I will say the life is fair rule doesn’t apply, which I value here, the best bartenders have the best shifts, the best servers the best sections, etc. There are plenty of TVs so if you want a certain game, chances are they have it, and if they do, 100% chance they’ll change a TV for you. Recently they started doing Karaoke and Loteria on Thursdays. It’s been a hit and the DJ, Gilly, does a great job—everyone gets involved. Bottom line, if you come in once you’ll make a friend, if you come in twice, you’ll have a family—Walk-Ons is the...
