Visit from out of town and Google soul food near me and this establishment came up as a location near by.

Location: Located in a neighborhood that is quiet but the the outside of the building doesn’t leave much to the eye.

Atmospheres: inside of the venue is very basic, and nothing to write home about. The ac was off in the heat index was like 80 outside and left like 90 inside.

Service: THE. CUSTOMER SEVICE IS NOT GOOD! walked in to the young man at the register sitting there, and when I walked up he just stared at me and didn’t greet me. Didn’t ask me what I like to order. He just kind of just looked at me until I told him what I want it.

Then as I hear people call in that has made DoorDash orders. He placed them on speakerphone and they haven’t received the correct order and he was like oh maybe because we’re out of it they should refund you no apologies. No, how can we correct it it was just straight like they didn’t care.

So when he brings the food out to me and a black bag, he just hand it to you they don’t announce what order it is or maybe he remembers but there’s no thank you there’s no anything and it seems like when you ask for hot sauces or any condiments they get irritated.

I’m big on support and Black on businesses, I run a organization that caters to the African American community and I hate when people stereotype black businesses but they’re only doing what we allow them to do so they should read these comments and some things are out of their control and some things are in their control. Customer service will get you way more businesses, even if your food is mediocre.

Food: I ordered the pork chops and mac & cheese, well double Mac because they didn’t have no rice, the pork chop was made freshly, but had no flavor. The mac & cheese was not even lukewarm. I must say yeah maybe lukewarm but had no flavor. Also, almost like they didn’t even use salt and pepper. The best part of the meal for me was the hot sauce...

10/16 Upon entering this evening, I was greeted. However, The young lady was eating from a bag of chips and utilizing her cellphone and even paying attention to her cellular while I was attempting to order. Also, I prayed she washed her hands BEFORE she handled food/utensils because she was dipping her fingers into that chip bag. I factually know, a restaurant worker is NOT supposed to eat while handling food in a establishment that serves food. They must utilize a break area to eat, store their food and wash their hands before returning to the work station. #1 The decor is very nice, but I'm confused with the gaming machines(not for money payout) inside and LOUD television - they have 2 tv's- one facing the kitchen( which is NOT a good choice) and the other facing the dining area. Is this a hangout spot or a sit-down restaurant to have a relaxing meal? #2 I had vegetables only - potatoe salad was bland - no seasoning, potatoes were cut too large, no mustard, no relish, no celery, no paprika. The yams were WATERY - no flavor other than sugar and maybe hint of vanilla?, the greens were bland, no seasonings - only tasted the heat(maybe hot sauce?) The price was good for the vegetable...

I hesitantly ordered from Uber eats and as soon as it came I opened everything and tasted it( besides the fried chicken) I want to save that for when I actually eat. EVERYTHING IS GOOD!!Collard greens are so flavorful, potato Salad is good to( and I don't eat people's potato Salad) 😋😋😋 Mac and cheese 😋 😋 and it is REAL baked Mac not kraft or velveta. I did order there sweet potatoes but it did not come( I assume they ran out) but they sent a extra potato Salad which I don't mind because it is good.
