OH MY GOD THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I don’t even know where to begin. First of all the building it’s self was established so nicely. Our server, Taylor Ambrose was amazing. She was beautiful, goofy, and the BEST OF THE BEST. I informed her of my cystic fibrosis and she was super knowledgeable and accommodating with that. She assured me that I would have a good time. She put me close to a window because I told her about my ravaging fear of kitchen appliances and didn’t want to see them because of the fear. I had a bad episode and she sat next to me and told me everything was going to be okay and wiped my tears for me.
When it comes to food:
She recommended me a sirloin beef slab with a creamy slosh over top of it with brown flakes. For sides I got noodles covered in a cheesy gooey chunk texture sauce. The noodles and the chunk texture sauce glided right down the back of my throat with ease. I offered her a bite and she said was full because she ate slosh noodle soup earlier. For my other side I got crunchy lettuce plated underneath brown crisp chunks and a creamy discharge sauce. Other than that and the episodes I had and my crippling social anxiety taylor was able to put all of that behind me and we became Facebook friends. I will be hanging out with her again soon fo-sho. The managers even came out and spoke to me and I told them about my experience and they said they were very proud of taylor ambrose. I got a to go box just to keep it in my room for memories. I will forever remember this day. My pet hamster also died because my son suffocated him and threw him against the wall (he has issues) earlier this day so I was really upset. Taylor could sense the vibes of that and said something before I even could. When i say she’s a good person I mean it. Go in and ask for David Daniel as well. My son tripped and fell in the bathroom because his shoe laces were loose and David helped him and fixed his shoes for him. My son usually can’t go to the bathroom by himself because his violence issues so David kindly offered to watch danial use the bathroom. Ugh so amazing. Counting down the days until I can go here again on November 14th at 3:50 pm for my uncles adoption day....
Read moreAh, Longhorn Steakhouse in Harrisonburg, VA—where the steaks are as monumental as the Shenandoah Mountains themselves! I had the privilege of dining here with a party of seven, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a culinary symphony.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere enveloped us like a warm, rustic embrace. You could almost hear the sizzle of the grill whispering promises of what was to come. And trust me, those promises were kept.
Now, let’s talk steak—specifically, Flo's Filet. This wasn't just a cut of beef; it was a masterstroke, an opus of flavor and tenderness. Grilled to perfection, every bite was a lavish journey into carnivore heaven. With a simple yet elegant seasoning, it let the quality of the meat shine, and shine it did!
Accompanying the filet were sides that weren't just there to fill the plate; they were stars in their own right. Whether it was the perfectly crisp and flavorful fries or the steamed vegetables that retained just the right amount of bite, each side dish was a lovingly crafted character in a sprawling, epic tale of dining excellence.
But what elevated this experience from fantastic to transcendent was the service. Award-winning? Absolutely, but that term barely does it justice. Our server was a virtuoso, conducting our evening with grace, attentiveness, and an uncanny knack for appearing right when needed. With seven of us at the table, that's no small feat, yet we all felt individually catered to.
And let's not forget—Longhorn is dog-friendly, adhering to reasonable restrictions to make sure everyone, both two-legged and four-legged, has an unforgettable experience. It's like they've thought of everything to ensure you leave with your spirit as full as your belly.
So, if you find yourself in Harrisonburg, do yourself a favor: make your way to Longhorn Steakhouse. This isn't just a meal; it’s a culinary narrative you'll recount with delight for years to come. Trust me, whether you're dining solo, with a group, or with your four-legged friend, you'll leave convinced that Longhorn isn't just doing it right—they're setting the...
Read moreCalled on Sat to reserve for party of 15. I was informed they don’t make reservations but I could call Sun, to get a spot held for all of us, to let them know a time and they would be able to seat us. Called Sun and informed they could only do parties of 8 since it was Mothers Day. So we booked for 2 parties of 8. Upon checking in they had us scheduled for 2 parties of 15. We got them to understand that it was just 1 party of 15. We still waited an hour and half to get seated. We got 2 long tables, one for 7, and one for 8 people. There was not enough room for 8 people to eat with a plate 2 side and a drink. We asked to add a small table and was told no. Two of our party of 8 left since they were not going to eat with no elbow room. There was hardly enough room for 6 adults at the table. Since we down sized from 2 parties of 15 to 1 party of 15 there should not have been a problem adding another small table. As we walked out there was a table of 16 all sitting together with multiple tables and booths empty during our stay. An 8 oz Sirloin was about 3x3” from 1/4” to 3/4” thick. There is no way that was a half a pound steak. When compared to the 6 oz it was smaller and less thick. The Margaritas needed more alcohol in them. All you could taste was the mixers. Can definitely tell this is a chain restaurant that is willing to sacrifice quality experience over quantity. Being a small business owner in the agriculture/food service business I was appalled at the management of resources or lack of concern for the customer. Not that it matters to the restaurant but there are 15 people who will never visit the Harrisonburg location again. Contemplating any of the chain again since quantity out weighs quality. Surely glad I do not run my business in this manner or I would not be in business long. Hunter, the waiter, was the best part of...
