The individual stores that I frequent are as usual, great, i.e. Michael's, Barnes and Noble, Petco, Staples and once in a while I'll go to this Walmart instead of the one on Rt. 42S. However, the parking lot continues to remind me of the name of a houseplant that I have....a Drunkard's Dream!!! I have NEVER been in this parking lot (and how many years has this shopping center been open now?) that a minimum of five people have walked out in front of me without looking...NOT AT THE CROSSWALKS....and 3-4 cars have pulled out in front of me making me slam on my brakes. And, no I am absolutely not a reckless driver. I've had one ticket in my life and I've been driving over 50 years. Why "they" designed that parking lot the way they did is beyond me. And I am not the only one who complains about it! The stores are great....
Read moreIf your a RV'er or trucker, use caution here. The employees like to park you in. I left one space open at the end of the row where we parked. The next morning there was a jeep in that spot. We called this store before we left for this trip and found out where they like RV'ers to park. Not noisy at all. Kinda outta the way. There is a fuel station nearby. Not sure about places to eat. Easy access from the interstate. We are about...
Read moreBasically, there are two strip malls that face one another and a huge black hole (aka the tar pit, or parking lot) between them. Walmart and Home Depot on the westside and Bestbuy, Petco, Staples, plus a few other storefronts on the east side. The tar pit is located across from JMU. Students park here quite often, to avoid purchasing overly expensive parking permits and citations. It gets really busy during the school year and football season. There are several eating establishments around the area. The lure of food draws the constantly texting young adults to walk across The Res, totally oblivious to the oncoming traffic. Head on over to the Pit and enjoy your...
