Update: I changed to one star.
Ever have one of those, 'WHAT WAS I THINKING' MOMENTS? The one where you did something so dumb and looked back at it to wonder how you could have allowed that to happen? That's my experience with having Xfinity mobile service. I have Internet with them only because it's the only realistic option. PLEASE GLO FIBER! COME TO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!!
Back in January or some time we signed up for Xfinity mobile against our best judgment. Once we started service and realized that they don't have 5g in the area we switched back immediately. They have been charging us for mobile ever since January. I realize I should have known this was happening and I should have known the 5g thing, but I didn't. But this company is so hard to deal with. We called them and they're refunding us. We received another bill from them so we called and asked about it. This time it was them telling us it was for the phones. They don't have record of them getting them back. I am pretty certain I returned at least one of them IN STORE. Now I'm stuck with either a $400 payment or a $60 bill reach month for a phone I never used.
I realized that I have a lot of fault for not checking on things and following up especially since I'm dealing with Xfinity, but a solid company makes it easy to do all of this. No issues, no problems, don't have to talk to 50 different people. I have had frustration after frustration with this company over the years. If they didn't have a monopoly on internet I would rid myself from them forever. My bad for being dumb enough to sign up for mobile service. WHAT WAS I THINKING?
Original post: So it's not totally fair to give this store 2 stars because I'm more annoyed with Xfinity the company and not this store. I would avoid any service with Xfinity though so I can't give it any more. Guilty by association. The customer service is such a hassle. You have to talk to a million different people on the phone and nothing ever gets done. I switched the GLO fiber the second it was available and now I have moved and Xfinity is the only real option. So here I am trying to get my internet to work. They came to install and told me I needed to connect my modem to the computer but I don't have a computer that you can plug an Ethernet cord into. I have internet, but I have no network name or password. I'm just paying for it to be on and inaccessible. The moment glo fiber reaches my new neighborhood, I am gone from Xfinity... Again and...
Read moreAwful service. Xfinity/Comcast have not been able to connect my Cable TV since Tuesday that they decided to disconnected without reason and without prior notice. I have called every day since and spend many hours on the phone (aproximately 9 hours total) trying to fix the problem. Even a technician came to my house yesterday and "supposedly" he had already fixed it, after being here for about two hours. He said the the problem was outside. But when I turned on the TV two hours later, after the technician had left, the TV had no signal again. And not to mention the $427 they are charging us because according to an agent at this store here in Harrisonburg VA, we ended the previous contract early. When the truth is that our previous contract expired on March 10 (1 month ago). Also, the agent who answered my phone call recently, last night, said that my account can only be found with my husband's phone number when all the other calls I have made the entire week, the agents, have found my account with my phone number. In summary, I have gone without seeing not even one of my favorite programs for 5 days and spending all my free time these days trying to fix the problem, due to the poor service and lack of professionalism from Xfinity/Comcast. All I can see is that Xfinity has drastically lowered their quality of service and even more disapoined considering the amount of money we pay every month for supposedly receiving a high quality service. And for those reasons I would NOT RECOMMEND Xfinity/Comcast to anyone. And if I could give you a negative rate, I would give...
Read moreHad to give at least one star, because the scale won't allow you to rate a "0". I'm not very happy with the way they handle business at the Harrisonburg store at all! Say one thing, have you thinking they are legit, then change up what they told you, give you incorrect info about services, etc and overcharge you! Such as, you can pick which phone you want, out of the two options they allow, which are low end phones, set up service with them, then tell you, we can't let you have These phones, but we'll "Give You, a New phone... Which aren't at the store and you can come back tomorrow to pick them up, only to go back and find that they have once again deceived you, by telling you, you now, have to go to Walmart, to Purchase, yet, an additional phone, telling you that you must Return Your Current Phone, in which you are using and still paying to have service on, and they tell you to let them do a factory reset, in order to keep your #, and to get your money back, after just buying new phones with another carrier two months earlier, which were defective! Now, you're stuck with an empty phone!! Got internet service, a box and unable to use it, and being charged $55.+(?)/mo, ( Instead of the advertised cost of $14.95/mo), plus an unknown amount for phone service, because we were given a price, then they changed it! All this, Just, to have a phone, and Still dealing with the frustrating after effects of Trusting Xfinity!!! Which I Do Not Recommend to Anyone! They Clearly Are, Out to make money only, and Do Not Value...
