I might just have the worst luck on earth with this Perkins. My food is always cold or messed up. The service is either so slow it's nearly non-existent or it's 100% spot on. I thought maybe it was just eating at strange times, but after attempting it during the day, late at night, just before the dinner rush, during the dinner rush, just after the lunch rush, and breakfast time, I've conceded that there is no good time for me to eat at this Perkins.
I want this place to be awesome. I keep giving it more chances, but I've finally hit a point where I absolutely refuse to go back. I've had plastic in my chicken strip, still frozen motz sticks. My plain panckes had walnuts in them (and I'm allergic). I've had French fries so cold they could have been used for ice packs, and when requested new ones, had the waitress TOUCH THEM ON MY PLATE to see if they were really that cold. My coffee cups have been delivered with lipstick on the rim so often it was a running joke. The glasses of iced tea came with bits of paper, food, and even remarkably a chunk of glass once. My silverware is dirty, or the napkin is wet or dirty every single time.
Some people love this Perkins, and I hope it stays awesome for them. The place is usually clean, most of the managers are nice, and the selection is quite good.
I absolutely will not go back. The final straw was arguing with the waitress when there was a hair very clearly not mine or my wife's in my food. Not on. In. Actually baked into the food. When I can wiggle the pancake by pulling the hair baked into it, why argue? ...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped at this Perkins restaurant for a late lunch - about 3:45 pm. We were greeted by the hostess and quickly seated - at a clean table I must add. When we asked if we could move to a booth close to the window she obliged and promptly moved us to the booth of our choice - even though we understood she was working to keep her arriving customers more centrally located making it easier for her server to take and serve their orders. From that point it only got better: we were greeted by the most helpful and courteous server, Blake. He did everything but cook our food order...for all we know he might have also done that.... He answered ALL our questions about the menu choices, brought our water, with no ice as we requested, and just did a remarkable job serving us...with a smile and a "...my pleasure..." reply each time he visited our booth. In addition, our order was prepared just like we asked it to be. We left with a smile on our faces in spite of the outside temperature of 3 degrees above zero - so much for winter in Minnesota! This was not the first time we've eaten at this Perkins. Each time the service and our food were impeccable! Thank you Perkins, in Hastings, MN, for always trying to do your best to serve your customers and provide quality in the food and its...
Read moreUPDATE: I decided to give this Perkins another chance for two ham and cheese omelettes and two drinks it was $40. Please see attached pictures for the serving size. Very very small portions for high buck and I’m assuming it’s because they’re using liquid eggs instead of using fresh eggs which are totally disgusting and they’re always cold after they’re done being cooked . very disappointing I understand inflation but not this bad my fork is bigger than a $20 meal smh.
Bad service and cold food.. I ordered online so my food would be ready when I went there when I walked in the door everybody ignored me one guy said that it he would be right with me - then he told me it would be a couple more minutes -20 minutes later I was still waiting and then a lady asked me if she could help me and I told her what I had ordered, I told her I hope my foods not Cold she got an attitude and she was like well you can open it if you want -I guarantee you it’s hot. I live literally 3 blocks from the store and when I got Home the pancakes were hard and crusty -there was definitely a half a scoop of hashbrowns and the eggs were raw! And the bad thing about all this is they were not even busy.!!! if I’m going to spend $20 for one meal I will take my money...
