I stopped in today and was the only customer at the moment. While I was ordering, the manager stepped up right away to help me even though he had clearly been on a break working on inventory and eating his meal. In the middle of my order, a young man walked in, grabbed the manager’s food off the table, and walked out. Super bizarre. But what really stood out to me was how calm, kind, and gracious the manager remained. Instead of causing a scene or getting upset, he simply tried to get the person’s attention and then chose to let it go, saying something along the lines of “I guess he was hungry.” In a situation that could’ve been stressful or even unsafe, he handled it with patience and compassion. The whole experience made me appreciate the staff even more. They stayed professional, took great care of me, and kept a positive attitude despite something totally unexpected happening. Read moreThis place is my new go to dinner and lunch spot. Large bowl with the steak, fills you up quick. Get the burrito sauce. Staffing issues have improved. Open till 9 (best part). Since Kona always closes early. Wouldn't say cheap but fair prices best bang for your buck. Make sure you ask for an extra scoop of toppings if you want it. Staff was helpful but my first time I did not know theres unlimited toppings . Kitchen was also very clean.
I ve eaten here 5 times now quality of food and flavor has been consistent. I cant say the same for the staff but they are improving. However the older gentleman was super helpful and very friendly.I need to send a huge shout out to LOA always helpful and very nice. (Always gives good portions 😉 ) Over all I would say this a good addition to kona. I hope it stays in business.

Read moreTL; DR: Terrible service, expect to stand and wait for 10 min. Owner is a micromanager and stingy. I’m disabled and they served others behind me, forcing me to stand in pain and then owner (Nate) charged me for every side order desolate it.
I had 2 folks ahead and behind of me. One gal was alone ringing up and making orders. The owner came in and began helping, but when I told the woman today that I wanted a burrito bowl and quesadilla, she made the quesadilla and picked up a 5 min phone call as the owner helped the folks behind me.
