Dee’s Poi Mochi — Restaurant in Hawaii

I think this is the only place on the island of Maui to get poi donuts or poi mochi! It was fried to perfection where the shell was crunchy and crisp but not hard; and the inside was soft and chewy and doughy!

We tried all of the flavors of mochi, and our favorite was the poi. My partner liked the ube second best, and I liked the chocolate second best. We got the white chocolate haupia sauce and the POG sauce. Both had good flavor, but the white chocolate haupia was our favorite dipping sauce.

Service was super friendly. There is seating in the shade next to the food truck. Everything is made fresh (which is why it's so delicious) so be prepared to wait 5-10 min....

Goodness gracious, this place is LEGIT! My first stop after arriving in Maui and on my way out to Kihei. Had both the Poi and Ube fried mochi. Both were AMAZING! Definitely try out the various sauces if you can - I also had mine with powdered sugar. The texture is to die for and the flavor is spot on, not overly sweet either. Because I was thirsty after a long flight, I tried the Lychee Lemonade slushy and it was fantastic - just the right amount of sugar and tartness and the ice was perfect. Cute, local dessert truck! All the flavors really shine through without being overpowering or too sweet. We got a 4 pack of assorted (ube, poi, Lilikoi, and lychee). The white chocolate coconut sauce was perfect! I don’t like anything too sweet and it was just right. The Mochi are made to order so they’re piping hot when they come out. Give them a few mins to cool down so you don’t burn your tongue.

The parking lot is set up with music and string lights. The tables have games on them. Just a really fun, relaxed vibe. Good spot to stop by if you have a late night...
