It makes me quiet sad to make this review and sadly I don’t think it will make a difference but I need to because the treatment we received today was absolutely awful and disrespectful I was waiting for table and we went to the bar ( while we waited) and ordered drinks the bar tender asked if we wanted any food. We figured we might as well ordered while we waited. Once the table was almost ready I told the host we ordered a few things at the bar. She looked confused and told me that wasn’t allowed. I was a in turned confused but that didn’t make any sense. It was weird and I’ve never heard of that before. And told her we came to dine in. Anyway she said “you can’t order “to go”at the bar and also seat in the dining room” . I told her we did not ordered to go we were waiting on a table. I told her to just cancel the food we ordered. After some more back a forth ( we kept our cool during this whole thing) we got seated. then the manager came to our table and said “ you cant order at the bar and dine in” and asked us to leave. At this point he pretty much just He kicked us out which was completely disrespectful. We weren’t rude we just wanted to sit down and eat. We ask for a refund for our food. He said ok but he escorted us away from the table like we stole something. He NEVER apologized and acted like we were such a bother. Total A hole. When we asked for a refund he told us “ its gonna take me a long time to do that” We waiting another 40 mind to get things figured out. Then brought our checks with food deducted and that was it. Which was some fries. Like alll this drama for some dam fries
I been in the restaurant industry. We were ok leaving. But the fact of the disrespect. The Staff NEVER said sorry or apologized. They acted like we were the inconvenience which is crazy. I’ve never been treated like this and honestly I know this is a place that serving high paying tourist but I hope someone reads this and chooses to go down the street where you are treated with respect. I literally have never written something so long for a review but def never coming here Again. Thanks for being the worst review I...
Read moreGreat location, absolutely TERRIBLE food, dismissive waiter. Before eating, I ordered one of Don's famous MaiTais. It was very bitter. Undrinkable.
I had the prime rib and my friend had the only burger on the menu. There obviously isn't a chef, just a cook. The prime rib was frozen, terribly tough, poor flavor. It was supposed to be served with a pop over (standard side for prime rib). When my meal was FINALLY served, after waiting one hour with the restaurant at 1/4 capacity) it was room temperature. And there was no pop over. When I asked Desmond, our lackadaisical server, where it was, he replied "in the oven". He then left for a few minutes and returned with two dinner rolls. I inquired about the pop over, he just said that this was all there is. Then I had to ask for butter, which he brought back frozen, 2 very small containers. Unspreadable. The horseradish sauce was inedible. Whereas prime rib should be served with horseradish sauce prepared from freshly whipped, unsweetened whipped cream mixed with freshly grated horseradish, what was served was a bottled sauce with very little flavor. Then the prime rib itself was very chewy and tough, with large amounts of globby fat. Thus demonstrating that the meat was frozen and heated, not cooked by a chef. If you cannot or will not prepare prime rib properly, please remove it from the menu.
My friend had the burger. Again, very disappointing, as it was improperly cooked and served at room temperature.
All in all, very disappointing and a complete...
Read moreWent on a Thursday night. Setting is quite pretty and there was a Hawai'ian show -- Hawai'an and Polynesian singing and dancing that we were able to enjoy for free, from a bit of a distance. These are dancers who have trained for years and have won awards, so "Las Vegas" tourist slant or not, the talent is real and authentic and is worth seeing and admiring. Setting is beautiful.
Was there at Happy Hour and -- not sure if the bartender was incompetent or they were woefully short-staffed or both -- likely both. We're from San Francisco and when it's 15 minutes before happy hour ends, you focus on getting the orders in and asking your already drinking customers if they'd like another befoe Happy Hour ends. Not here. We sat for about 10 minutes with the clock ticking and the bartender using all the time to write up bills and present and collect. We're polite people and oculd see he was slammed but -- AHEM! The drinks were okay but slap-dash and no garnish or anything. Honestly, our visit was pretty much ruined by the freneticism of the bartender trying to cope. We'd likely have ordered food but Happy Hour was over by the time we got our drink order in...and we felt SO sorry for the bartender who was so frazzled. DEAR MANAGEMENT _- he was not complainingodr anything , he was doing his best but JESUS CHRIST, HIRE ANOTHER...
