Most of the food is good but recently had called to complain about something regarding the food and was treated very poorly with no respect for a long time continued customer! Was supposedly handed the call to the manager who hung the phone when asked for her name!! I didn’t even ask for a refund or to have my meal replaced! Only asked to have more of what the dish actually was supposed to be (curry). Called back and asked the female employee what the managers name who I spoke to and she gave me the run around and was going to get someone else to take the call! (WTH) She too wouldn’t give a name for this manager! So very frustrated… I eventually hung up!! Never ever more a customer of KCs and for sure will definitely pass this story around!! Time to find a better tasting, wayyyyy better customer service place who treats their long time customers with respect! Forget the gravy…. Trip back will be a waste of my time. The dogs might enjoy it better!...

Edit: If you are looking for healthy drive through options they offer a grilled chicken plate (usually can sub a side for a small green salad) or a grilled chicken salad add crispy bacon. Also love the breakfast bento.

Popular and usually has a long line whenever it is open because it has a great diverse menu with lots of local favorite dishes. I got the breaded Ahi special and it came with rice and macaroni salad. It was a large portion and tasted good. We tried the turkey bacon wrap and it was super affordable and a great healthy option that I highly recommend! They do have a peanut allergy warning on their window stating they do have peanuts in some of their items. Most diverse drive through menu in Hilo...

It maybe fun for kids especially since Blane's is closing its downtown location after 50 years..so more after school snacks..however the quality of ANY food at local drive-ins is far inferior to most of our Hilo sit down restaurants but like the chicken Kats is devoid of much meat..ALL breading.. Good soft serve ice cream..doubt it meets the USDA definition for Real dairy ice cream but da kids love it plenty different flavas..drive through..you no even have to get out cho cahr!! WoW! Dine in or take out..wait..isn't a drive in mean take out? Ohh take out window too.. Weekly specials....
