Katy location…closed. Montrose location…closed. What location is left in Houston? The one near Memorial City Mall. It looked like Texadelphia was making a comeback in Houston, after being away for many years. The comeback looks like a short one. New locations closing and only one left in Houston.

It shouldn’t be a problem for a business to remain open if it has a good product. So what’s wrong? I’ve been to the Memorial location twice, and being seated at a table by a host was difficult. Lots of employees, or should I say servers, and it shouldn’t be difficult to be seated. On my first visit, the bartender sat me at a table. No server came to my table after 5 minutes. So I went and sat at the bar and ordered.

On my second visit, there were more servers than actual customers. One weird thing that I noticed was the man behind the bar(not sure if it was the bartender)was having to call a server to take the order of a customer at the bar. The same man had to call the server when the man wanted his check.

One thing I noticed with Texadelphias is it seems to be really big and it doesn’t need to be. Is it a bar or is it a sandwich shop? I know it as a sandwich place. When the Montrose location was open, customers would walk up to a counter, order, take a number, and then take a seat. Someone will bring you the food you ordered. Simple enough. Memorial location as well as the closed Katy location, it is different. Not really sure why places have different procedures.

I’ve always liked the cheesesteaks from Texadelphia. It’s no different here. Consistency is the same. Chips that are served with the cheesesteaks are light and tasty. Get a side of queso to dip your chips.

I’m afraid this location will eventually close and it isn’t because of a lack of a good sandwich. You know the old saying, location, location, location? The address of this place is on Katy Freeway, but the business faces Gaylord, which is the back side of the building. How much are they paying per square foot on this place?

I’ll definitely be back, hoping it hasn’t closed...

After 1 of my fantasy football league members suggested we go 2 Texadelphia 2 watch the NFL Draft. I told him that would be great but all Texadelphia locations closed permanently years ago. He then sent me a link 2 the Memorial location, showing me it was still opened. I haven't had a Texadelphia steak sandwich in years. Now 4 what u've been waiting 4 " The Review. " OK. Here we go. I ordered a lg ( 10 in ) orign cheese steak w/ onion rings ( $ 1.50 extra ) served w/ a side of their homemade ranch. It was well worth it. When my sandwich finally came, I was a little disappointed the sandwich. It was served 2 me room temp @ best while the onion rings were hot. I should have sent it back, but I was hungry. So I proceeded 2 eat it. The bread was warm & soft. The steak itself could have used a little more seasoning. The onion rings were very good & tasty 😋 especially w/ their homemade ranch. I'm not a ranch ( dressing ) fan, but I was last night. I dipped my onion rings into their homemade ranch dressing not knowing @ 1st what it was until I went back & looked @ the menu. You ask me would I come here again ? YES !!!! PS : If I get another room temp sandwich, I will...

I really like the atmosphere here. Especially the outdoor seating on a nice day. Of I have to mention the indoor seating football and baseball season. They have plenty of TVs and a great bar.

Food was pretty average for me, but my husband absolutely loved it! I wish they had more vegetarian options. I invited my son and daughter-in-law to come with us, and they were very disappointed by the options. They could either get a veggie Philly cheesesteak, which was not very good. Or salad which they don’t like. The waitress didn’t suggest anything else so they did both up ordering the veggie philly.

I got the chicken Philly. It has lots of meat and veggies. This bread was soft & lightly toasted. I thought it liked some flavor. The sauce they put in there was pretty good but I had to order more because the chicken didn’t have enough seasoning in it. My husband got the steak Philly and it was just fine. We’ve been back a couple times and it’s always the same for me.

Unfortunately, with the lack of vegetarian options, I can don’t bother inviting the rest of my family anymore. Unless it’s for the Milk and...

Service: I came in during a lunch rush and it was kind of busy but I was seated right away. My server was prompt, polite, and ordered accurately. It was also a relief to see he was using a notepad to jot down my order. It didn't take long at all to get my drink and food which was delivered by a different server; it's great to see teamwork. A busser came by shortly after I was finished. Overall it was a fast and streamline process from entry to exit. Food: As a Philadelphia area native I am definitely biased. This cheese steak does not compare but overall wasn't horrible; it was just more Texas than Philadelphia. Admittedly, it was a little on the bland side. However, the waffle fries were outstanding, crispy, not to greasy, and full of flavor. Facility: The inside is very welcoming and comfortable. The decor reminds me of a Philly bar. There are tables for outdoor seating and a large window with natural light and view to the outside seating area. Thank you for an enjoyable meal and experience. I will definitely be back to explore the cocktails and bar food!
