My recent dining experience at Los Vaqueros Mexican Grill presented a blend of delightful highs and some areas ripe for improvement. This establishment certainly has the potential to be a standout in the realm of Mexican cuisine, with service that shines brightly and a few dishes that truly capture the essence of authentic flavors.
First and foremost, the service at Los Vaqueros deserves a standing ovation. The staff was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and swift, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident throughout the meal, making us feel genuinely valued and well-cared for.
Now, let's talk about the food. The Chimichanga was the star of the show. It was impeccably prepared, with a perfectly crispy exterior giving way to a succulent, flavorful filling. Each bite was a delightful journey through texture and taste, encapsulating the essence of what makes Mexican cuisine so beloved.
However, not all dishes hit the mark. The salsa, an essential element in any Mexican dining experience, lacked the robust, fresh flavor one anticipates, falling somewhat flat. Additionally, the albondigas soup didn't quite live up to expectations. While the concept was traditional, the execution was underwhelming, with the soup needing a richer, more developed flavor profile to truly shine.
Despite these hiccups, my experience at Los Vaqueros Mexican Grill was positive overall, and I'm intrigued enough to plan a return visit. The excellent service and the delectable Chimichanga are compelling reasons to give this restaurant another chance, hopeful that the less impressive dishes were merely an off day rather than the norm.
In conclusion, Los Vaqueros Mexican Grill offers a mixed bag of experiences - from the high of exceptional service and a standout dish to the lows of some culinary misses. Yet, the potential for greatness is palpable, and I look forward to returning, eager to see how this establishment evolves and refines...
Read moreServed on a DIRTY tray on a to-go order. Purchased a dry burrito & it was served in a to-go tray. Upon getting to the hotel room I was eating on my desk, table lamp is very dim, halfway through eating I noticed that the entire perimeter of the to-go tray was FILTHY. There was some type of black grime & fuzz around it. I had already ate half my food & the burrito doesn't come wrapped in foil like other places so it was in direct contact with the grime as it would lay against the sides while eating it up right. I immediately returned to los Vaqueros & was greeting by the manager, light skinned Hispanic woman with glasses maybe late 50's early 60's did not get her name, & brought my situation to her attention. She explained that the to-go boxes lay opened, facing down, therefore explaining my issue. BUT then she goes on to say "ITS NOT DIRT, YOU'LL BE FINE" I asked how is it not dirt? She said it's JUST build up from the fajita oil since its close by, the fajita trays are also next to the trays & insisted that I'll be okay because it wasn't dirt & stated that they'll refund my money. That was my experience with this place, might be good for dine in though who knows. I am not from the area so I wouldn't have returned anyways. I have picture proof of tray, dont know why Google isn't giving me the option...
Read moreIt seems that in the last several years that the food is not as good. I understand the prices going up, as they are everywhere, but the quality of the food should not go down. About a year ago I ordered the Chicken Tostada Bowl and I got the Ground Beef version if it. I do not send things back, because it has been even worse when I get it back. The Ground Beef was greasy and flavorless; thank God for their salsa at the table. The time after that, my wife and her sister ordered Margaritas; very expensive lemonade drink. My wife went their with her sister for lunch recently and she got slightly warm Tortilla Soup; but good tortillas on the side. I think we are done here. A friend told me about a resturant that is somewhat new in town. It is called; "That Mexican Place", behind the Home Depot. He and his friends go there and the prices are very good, the food is great, and they give a good amount of food that covers a very large plate. I am now encouraged to go there because I am done here. I am very confused on how there are 4 and 5 star ratings at this restaurant. At best, I would have gotten a better deal ordering 2 tacos at jack in the box and taken them home and had a coke or beer out of my own refrigerator. Bye,...
