Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Hemlock Township

It was my first time at a Moe's and it went pretty well. This is a casual dining experience. You order at the counter and they make your food while you go down the line. There are options to choose from - quesadilla, burrito, bowl, tacos, etc. All orders come with a side of chips and you select your salsa at their salsa station - yes I just said salsa station, that is pretty cool!

I don't love building my own items so I wish they had a "base" to add or remove from, but I get the concept. I chose a bowl with rice, black beans, birria - new item, onions, peppers, cheese and sour cream. The bowl was HUGE! I didn't even finish half of it. It was good, but I didn't love the seasoning on the birria sadly... I also tried the chips- crispy and perfect - and all the salsas at the Salsa station. Sadly I didn't really care for any of the salsas, I think it's preference.

The restaurant was clean, the employees were friendly and helpful and my experience was quick and casual. So overall I think it's a win. I don't love that the restrooms are directly in front of the entrance door, but not much can be...

Had a horrible experience... I walk in there was one man at the counter 2 other employees hiding in back. (I noticed as they eventually came out) I was the only other person in line (other than those getting served) no one aknolaged me eventually I was served after waiting for about 10 min. Then during my burrito making process, They did not have most proteins available.. I picked my 3rd choice. I then looked at the options and most looked as though they have been sitting for a long time. After getting my buritto made I then had to wait another 10-15 min to pay. It was not very busy... I then am standing there and their light starts flickering.... when I went to fill up my water and get my salsa I noticed the whole resturant was very dirty and they did not have any salsa out for customers as every other moes has available. I went here with me and my friend and we order 2 bowls and 2 large drinks with queso the bowl size we went up to the register and the lady was nice she kept adding and deleting menu items and when she was done it added up to $50! So we sat and ate and we went on the app to look up the prices and it was only around 35 dollars we decided to go back up and ask the lady about it and she said “the app tends to make the price go up” so we had her ring it up again, and it turned out that she owed us $13 which is equivalent to one bowl she ended up panicking and giving us $25. I’m assuming she did that because her manager was next to her. She also did not put a normal portion of food in my bowl compared to the other times I was there which I didn’t care as much about that as I did with the money I believe she made us pay for her own bowl and thought she could get away with it and then panicked when we came back to...
