Don’t get me wrong, our wedding was absolutely beautiful, the food was great, but there were way too many issues during the planning process. Everyone was rude except for Christina, she was very nice. They changed the prices on our meals even though the one lady I met with said the paperwork that I had was fine, I tried to tell them that, but no one cared and we ended up paying the “new prices”. Also, one of my guests has many stomach issues and did not plan to eat or drink, and I told lakeview that, but I was forced to pay for her for her to just be there and not eat or drink any of the food given to her, 62 plus some dollars down the drain. Kind of stupid. Also keep in mind, when you get the final total of everything, you also have to also pay for services charges like shipping and installation and return of chair covers, etc. Also, one of my guests accidentally broke one of the glass tables outside, and my father has been trying to get ahold of them to let them know he mailed them a check, but NO ONE ANSWERS, but yet they haggle you by email. I know we have to cover things that may get broken, but this table was in such bad shape and so wobbley that I am not suprised it broke. Would be a great place, but after COVID hit, it will never be the same. Everyone is too moody and acts like they hate their life even though they think they are better than everyone else and obviously make a good amount of money. Planned to return for future events, but this...
Read moreWent there for a WBN Networking dinner Kentucky Derby themed event lastnight (over 100 women). Service staff was good, pretty attentive. Everyone pretty much liked their dinners accept the loan veggie plate orderer at our table. While the other dinners involved chicken breast stuffed w/asparagus & steamed veggies & mash potatoes as sides or salmon stuff w/crab w/steamed veggies on the side all cooked well & nothing raw; her plate had no sides & cheese ravioli where the tomato sauce was so watered down like they didn't even drain the pasta enough before putting it on the plate. Dinner salads w/rolls were good & although I didn't drink I assumed the bar drinks were good & reasonably priced. I'm a bit of a coffee snob but found their coffee descent & the apple pie we got for dessert tasted delicious. Was $45/per person reasonably priced, I'm not sure. I'd of rather paid $30/$35 per for what you got instead. Our event was downstairs & I think the bathrooms should be updated, they looked old & not too clean. Wouldn't hold a wedding reception there unless the inside of this facility would get updating all around but for meeting events I...
Read moreI attended a wedding reception in May. Gorgeous venue. The set up was very nice. Im pretty sure the dj and cookies were brought in by the wedding party...which were fantastic. The food was really good. Huge bar. Clean bathrooms. The staff needs training in manners and etiquette. They were constantly clearing food and beverage that werent finished. Even water. I asked the bartender, who was NOT busy, to refill our water carafe....1st problem/wait staff 's job....and his reply was "No...but one the servers can do that for you." Um, I brought the water carafe to you, and you can't put ice and water in it. So i stood waiting for quite some time just to get water. That should be present on every table before the first guest arrives until after the last guest leaves! It felt very rushed. Maybe they were understaffed that day? But when it came to serving coffee or assistance... they were nowhere to be found. My overall thought was the appearance was nice, just make sure you reiterate how important proper service is to the coordinator. I highly recommend using this...
