Tropical Bungalow — Restaurant in Hempfield Township

Today was our first time there and we will definitely be back! The service was spot on. There was a new girl working and she had a helper showing her the ropes. She wasn't quite sure how to use our coupons and kept apologizing, telling us that she was new. She was super sweet and got everything right! The wait time to get our food was also very fast! I got the single cheeseburger and my husband got the triple and they were both delicious! And ooooh ooooh oooooooh the fries were soooooo good!!!! The regular size was perfect for us to share. I forgot to order them "well done" but I didn't have to, because they came out nice and golden and crispy. Just the way I like them! I also got the Avalanche cone and it was very good too. The only thing that I would recommend is either, chopping up the chocolate chips, or using mini because by the time you got them chewed, the ice cream was melting. But no worries, I survived and just ate faster!!! I'm not sure what was up with the tall tables and no chairs. I think they would benefit if they had high stools for the tables or lowered them and had regular seating. People like to sit and eat, even if it's for a short time. We ate in the car, which was fine with me, because it was really hot out. Keep up the good work...

Until trying this restaurant out, I have not once been inclined to write a review for any food and or service I have received.

Staff was very friendly. I felt welcomed and had a sense that they were happy to take my order.

The portions were so generous and hefty I almost felt like I was stealing, especially with the fries. If you get fries, you'll get more than enough to share! For those of you who are left hungry after a typical meal, this is your place! Prices are very competitive. Food was excellent. Some of the best fries in town here guys! Burgers have amazing flavor. Not too greasy, but still juicy.

10/10 would recommend, and I will be returning. Next time to try one of their shakes! Lets put this place on the map guys,...

Finally decided to try this place after driving past it a lot and hearing my coworker say good things about and the rumors were true they are really good not only was the staff friendly but the vanilla custard my girlfriend got was so flavorful and creamy it paired really well with the fries that give off Kennywood vibes and lastly I got the bungalow burger which was good but the only downfall which is why I gave 4 stars was because the seasoning on patties didn't really come through maybe the recipe doesn't call for it or whoever was making it didn't put a lot but either way the sauce, onion, and pineapple definitely was a great combo and i will forsure be stopping by again maybe to give the rootbeer float and some gravy...
