Subject: Concerns Regarding Unpleasant Odor at Olive Garden Restaurant
Dear Management Team of Olive Garden,
During a recent visit to your restaurant situated at 5163 U.S. 30, Greensburg, PA, 15601, I encountered an issue that compelled me to share my concerns. While I have generally enjoyed the dining experience at Olive Garden in the past, I was quite disappointed to encounter an unpleasant odor in the entryway where the hostess is stationed.
The smell I encountered was reminiscent of bad body odor and was, unfortunately, overwhelming. This experience was disconcerting and had a negative impact on the initial impression of your restaurant. As a customer who values a pleasant dining environment, this issue significantly detracted from the overall experience.
I believe that Olive Garden is renowned for its delicious cuisine and warm hospitality, and I am hopeful that this concern can be addressed promptly. I understand that maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere is essential for any dining establishment, and I trust that you will take the necessary steps to rectify this issue.
I kindly request that you investigate the source of this odor and take appropriate measures to ensure that it does not persist in the future. A fresh and welcoming atmosphere in the entryway is crucial in setting a positive tone for the dining experience.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and your commitment to providing an enjoyable dining experience for your patrons. I look forward to returning to Olive Garden in the future and experiencing the improvements that I am confident you will implement.
Thank you for your time and...
Read moreWe had a party of four. We were seated and told the waitress would be right with us. 30 minutes went by before we asked where are waitress was. The young man said he would go get her. 10 minutes later she finally arrives with an excuse that she wasn't told that we were here. We all had the "Are you serious right now!?" look on our face. She takes our order and leaves. Another 20 minutes goes by before she finally shows up with our drinks. Then 15 minutes more and she finally shows up with our bread sticks, salad, soup and calamari but forgot to bring plates for the salad. 10 more minutes to get lousy plates! Then 40 minutes later, she finally shows up with three of our steak gorgonzola entrees and my fiancee fettuccine but never brought the steak she ordered! The waitress said the steak was a little rare and she asked them to cook it a little more. "Yeah, sure you did!" More like you forgot to put the order in with the chef! Anyway, another 35 minutes goes by before she shows up with the steak. By this time, we are almost done eating. Then I guess we were gluttons for punishment and ordered dessert. Amazingly, she came right out with it! My fiancee is normally very nice and forgiving. But she was over it and with anger in her voice, insisted that I not leave this waitress a tip of any kind. That this waitress was by far the worst waitress that we have ever had anywhere we have ever been!! I was kind of stunned to hear that come from her. But she was right! This experience was absolutely unacceptable!!! For the first time that I can think of. None of us could justify leaving this waitress a tip of any kind for such...
Read moreWe used the app to get on a waiting list and it worked well. The server was nice. I ordered the endless soup and salad and my other guest ordered a rigatoni entree. Before ordering dinner we ordered drinks from a special 5$ menu. We got our salad next. I received my first bowl of soup at the same time as my guests entree arrived (which I had requested). The bowl of soup looks like someone spilled half of it or ate half of it before it got to me. This is where it went downhill. The server asked us if we would like another drink, we said yes. I finished my "endless" half bowl of soup and would of like to had another but 15 minutes had passed, we didn't have our drinks yet, the server never came out to ask how everything was because she disappeared into where you get drinks from and apparently hung out there until the bartender "came back from her break". When she returned with the drinks she did apologize but her watch must not work because she said "sorry these drinks took a few extra seconds, but the bartender was on break". I have to say, in the event of all that's happened to the restaurant business and all of it's employees from Covid-19, now that we are trying to re-open and re-build, can we afford to be complacent with service. Now is the time to step it up and be extremely diligent . I have friends that are servers, I too was a server, so I sympathize with their lack of work. And just for the record, I worked, and still work at 2 essential jobs through the entire...
