so a friend & I had a "spur of the moment late-night" craving for hot fudge sundae with butter pecan ice cream night before last. -- we 'zoomed' down to Baskin Robbins at Boulder Hwy/Basic Rd and pulled into their service line at 09:48pm. (The hours posted said they close at 10:00pm.) The "OPEN" sign was lit and they had not blocked the entrance to the line. WHEW! There was one car in front of us being served. As that car pulled away, we were told the store was CLOSED and they could not serve us. WHAT?! We explained we were "in line" well before 10pm and expected to be served. I asked if I had actually been inside the building would they have asked me to leave - she said no. We asked to be served as if we had been inside since they were not accepting customers inside. The young lady went inside where we could see a grown man counting the register and several employees beginning to clean. A different young girl came out and told us they could not serve us. She even told us the time we had pulled in. When we tried to explain we only needed 2 sundaes she said we could talk to the manager the next morning but refused service. She explained the manager had closed the register. WHAT??! I said "your manager is inside and sent YOU out to talk with us?" She said yes. I told her she "needed to find a different job because her manager had hung her out to dry." I will drive past this business (which is close to my house) to one further away before I will ever support this location and this manager! **we ended up getting our ice cream sundae from Sonic on E LakeMead Parkway. **(The ice cream machine at Sonic on Boulder Hwy was...
Read moreThey will overcharge and cheat you, and serve poor quality product, so be careful or just go to a different BR. We went in with a "Buy One Cone Get One Cone Free " coupon that had no limitations on the flavor of ice cream or number of scoops, only that waffle cones were not included. We have used the same coupon at other BR stores many times (we get one via email every month) without problems, but not here. So we ordered three double scoops on regular cones, which at $4.29 each meant the total should have been $8.58 (two at $4.29 and one free one). Instead, we were charged for two single cones (at $2.69 each so $5.38) plus two double cones (at $4.29 each so $8.58), then as the coupon discount we were credited for one of the incorrectly billed single cones (thus $2.69), so our total charge was actually $11.27! We were cheated out of $2.69 ($11.27-$8.58=$2.69)! As for the product, some of the ice creams were covered with ice crystals (not frost--actual ice), which happens, but we assumed the employees would scrape the surface and get to the fresh ice cream underneath before scooping our orders. Nope. They just scooped up the ice crystals with the ice cream and served it that way, so the ice cream was icy and lost the normal smooth texture. So if you want to be cheated and want poor quality ice cream, go here. If not go to a different store, which we will from now on even though this one is closest to...
Read moreBrought my son in, we has a coupon. Followed posted instruction to "Please present coupon before placing ypur order!" Young lady looked at the coupon and inquired with an older gentleman working whether of not they took them. He looked at it and said he didnt know and told her to scan it and see. After he started to examine the coupon, I told her just to ring the order without the coupon (it didnt make sense for a corporate coupon to go through this much scrutiny and vetting to me) ... she went ahead and scanned the coupon and it worked. So, I gave her a pretty simple order, one chocolate scoop for my son and a coconut scoop for me... chocolate scoop was all my son thought it would be... She brought me ice cream that had nuts in it... no the plain coconut ice cream that i usually get here. She said it was their nutty coconut and that the had pineapple coconut as well. At some point knew that they did not have plain coconut ice cream and neglected to ask of there was another flavor I wanted... she made the decision for me. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. The ONLY good thing about this visit is that mu son enjoyed...
