Overall an excellent experience here. Beautiful interior and good music.
Made a reservation on Open Table during their Social Hour (11:30am - 5pm F-S). Was seated at a table near the bar with 2 TV’s so I can watch the football games.
Luis, my server, was exceptional. Friendly and courteous while making excellent recommendations for food and drinks. Found out he has an extensive culinary background, so it made sense :)
For drinks, asked for Luis to choose for me between the Sake Punch, Yuzu Daquiri, and Tropical Mai Tai. He chose the Mai Tai, which was a beautiful mix of alcohol and fruity sweetness. Apparently regulars come every week just for this drink.
Ordered a Spicy Scallop Hand Roll off their social hour menu - I’ll probably stick with the cut rolls next time. The nori was tougher than I wanted, so it made it hard to chew. That being said, fish quality was great!
Was recommended a “White” Tiger Roll, which is their tiger roll but with yellowtail, jalapeño, and sriracha on the outside. Off-menu special. The yellowtail melted in my mouth and overall blend of flavors in the roll was spectacular.
Also was told the fried chicken here is stellar. I went with the Chicken Bites in the social hour menu. More or less popcorn chicken but a superior version of it. Luis’s recommendation: double dip the chicken in the chili sauce and then the wasabi honey for a hot honey experience. Chef’s kiss.
Unfortunately couldn’t have the Bread Pudding, which came highly recommended, due to dietary restrictions. But even the Blood Orange Sorbet was packed with flavor. Satisfying way to...
Read moreI don’t know who came up with the name “Blue Ribbon,” but they deserve one of their own. First of all, let’s talk about the miso soup. It was so good I almost asked for a refill—then remembered this isn’t a bottomless mimosa brunch. The broth was perfectly balanced, the tofu cubes were just the right kind of squishy, and the seaweed? Then came the sashimi platter, which looked so perfect I felt bad ruining it by eating it… for about 0.2 seconds. Each slice was fresh, buttery, and practically melted in my mouth. I loved the balanced selection of 3 pieces each of salmon, albacore, hamachi, and tuna. Now, the Tiger Roll—wow. It was a flavor explosion, with crispy tempura shrimp, creamy avocado, and a little spicy kick. The vibe at Blue Ribbon Sushi is upscale but not pretentious, like a casino floor without the cigarette smoke. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with everything BUT the service. Our waiter changed 3 times in less than an hour without warning. Outside of their service hiccup, I was incredibly impressed with the extremely high quality of food and the overall ambiance. If you’re at Green Valley Ranch and you’re tired of losing money at the slots, drop by Blue Ribbon Sushi. Your taste buds will thank you, even if your...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Blue Ribbon Sushi last night, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort.
The service was impeccable— our server Ben was attentive, knowledgeable, warm, personable and genuinely friendly, Ben had an excellent knowledge of the menu and gave spot-on recommendations, all of which were absolutely delicious and made you want more.
It’s rare to find someone so genuinely passionate about providing great service, and Ben made our evening truly special. I will definitely be returning to Ben and requesting to sit in their section again. Thank you for going above and beyond!
The food was a masterpiece! Each dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with the freshest ingredients.
I highly recommend the Surf & Turf, which was cooked to perfection. The Matcha Crème Brûlée dessert was the perfect ending to the meal, with just the right amount of sweetness.
Blue Ribbon Sushi has truly set the bar high. I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu. If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, this is the...
