I must preface my remarks by saying I am a big fan of Farmer Boys. But today, the experience was abysmal. First, the music was waaay too loud. Second, the kitchen staff was very noisy, doing a lot of yelling. Not angry yelling, just unnecessary yelling. Maybe because of the loud music, I don't know. Third, my burger bun was hard, not soft like it should be. My wife's was fine. I hope my next visit is better.
I tried to leave a separate review for this visit but Icould only figure out how to edit a previous one. I have to say this restaurant has one of the worst staffs imaginable. When you enter they shout a hello without seeing who you are or even looking at you. Unfortunately they are not alone as most fast food restaurants ( with the exception of Chick Filet and In N Out Burger) are guilty of extremely insincere greetings. I would rather not get one than a shouted obligatory one. But my real complaint with this location (and I have been to many others) is the laziness of the staff and their terrible attitudes. I ordered a BBQ chicken ranch SALAD at the counter and Cirene took the order. I have been here many times and I have yet to see her smile or speak to me in a hospitable or friendly manner. I ordered a hamburger combo for my wife.
When she approached the table to bring the order, I could see the kitchen made a WRAP instead of a salad. She hesitated as if not knowing what to do as she realized the mistake. I didn't mind that as mistakes sometimes happen. She said the kitchen is making a salad now and would I want to keep the wrap. I said yes but I really wanted the salad. Since they would just throw the wrap out I would like to keep it and she said she would bring me a to go box. After waiting a for awhile I decided to eat the wrap (which was very good) but after finishing the wrap my salad still wasn't ready. It was at least 20 minutes or more. .I went to the counter and saw a salad had just been finished and asked another server if that was mine. I had to get her attention as she pretty much ignored me. After confirming it was mine I asked if there was dressing on it. She ignored me again so I said it louder. She then said no so I asked for her to package it to go. All the while, Cirene, who took my order and made the mistake, wandered around behind the counter and showed no inclination to provide good service and help me out. She saw I was there but again didn't care to see what I wanted. Both of these servers had a terrible (hey, I just work here attitude). No one ever apologized for getting the order wrong or that it took so long. My complaint with this location is the same as before. Lack of hospitality, friendliness and caring. I will save myself the aggravation next time and simply go elsewhere. I changed my star rating to two...
Read moreI give it a three because my experience wasn't that bad and the cashier was polite to me however.... The customer in line behind me while I was waiting for my food I had to endure listening to about a five to seven minute conversation of bickering back and forth because the menu said $5 for the burger but it was ringing up $5.99 and customer said no that's not right. Then a supervisor came out and explained to him that the stickers have fallen. The customer was not having any of that then another supervisor came out who almost appeared to be on their day off purely based on how they were dressed for the summertime weather... Also explain to the customer The stickers have fallen. That the price is $5.99 not $5 as the menu reads. In the end I was curious so I snapped two photos and as you can see in the one it does in fact say $5 And as you can see in the other photo a number 8 is falling down. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just get tape and handwrite if they had to or worst case scenario walk across the parking lot to hobby lobby and grab some number stickers and pop them back up. Clearly the heat from the kitchen causes the glue to melt so they come down But at least make an effort to put them back up to avoid future comflicts between customers and employees. Both sides were polite nobody was rude that it seen but both sides were also standing their ground firmly one stating this is the price and the other stating this is what's advertised. Well I understand what the store employees are saying I also understand the customers frustration because it's not their problem The stickers have fallen down and thus changed the price. Hopefully they can get their prices fixed with the little bit of tape or glue.
As far as my experience with the food now that I've eaten it the fries have no salt general rule of thumb is you always salt something when it comes out of a fryer doesn't matter what it is and the burger looks like it was just tossed together like it was a race ingredients falling off the side of the burger. Initially filled my cup with a raspberry tea however the taste was severely off maybe the ratio of syrup to water not sure but poured it out and got a soda, But even that didn't quite taste right. This was not my first time at Farmer boys but in all reality I probably wouldn't make much effort to go back unless I had another coupon or discount which is what brought me in today to give them another try after not having tried them in a a good 2 years. It'll be a long while before I even think to look if there's some kind of coupon or discount to revisit this place in general in hopes they get better with the...
Read moreA few weeks ago I went to this location like I normally do when I want to switch things up on Saturday night and got food. My brother was visiting from NY and said he should try it. We order for us and my parents but his meal was a big box or whatever the double burger meal is. We get home and his was only a single. I contacted through the website or app, I don't remember, and a few days later I receive a reply and the solution was to give me a free appetizer for my trouble. I live like 10 minutes away but didn't feel like wasting time or gas to fix the issue especially when it took like 15 minutes to get my food to begin with. I personally think it was kind of a screw you to offer an appetizer for a screwed up dinner meal. I try to not complain and didn't want to do this review but It's been bothering me how it was handled. I probably spend like $40 each time I go here for me and my parents. This happened about 5 weeks ago and I haven't been back since cause I'm irritated. This was the first time I complained about the order and the other times it was minor things like dressing being on mine when I order plain. I don't worry about little things like that since I can scrape it off and swap buns. I would have felt better if I was just ignored and never got a response. Bottom line check your order carefully before leaving with takeout. Will I go back, most likely but not for at least...
