Wow. This place was so disappointing. I don't usually write reviews, but decided that this place really needs to step it up. I am not hard to please, nor am I picky. First off, being in an Irish pub, my husband ordered a Guinness to drink. They were out. It's an Irish pub, how can they be out of Guinness? Whatever, he ordered something different. No worries. Next, we both ordered corned beef and cabbage. Now a lot of people don't like corned beef and cabbage, but we love it and know what it should look like and taste like, so we weren't going in to this blind. We waited about 25 minutes, not concerned about the time. The waitress stops by our table and said it would be about 15 more minutes. No problem, we were not in a hurry. Then 15 minutes later, a different waitress came by and said it would be about 15 MORE minutes because the corned beef was frozen, and they wanted to know if we would rather order something else. WHAT, start over? No, we were already invested in the corned beef and cabbage and would wait, after all it's been almost an hour, what's another 15 minutes, right? In retrospect we should have ordered something different because when we finally got it, it was THE WORST corned beef and cabbage I have ever had. It was like hard fried spam on wilted lettuce. You think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not! It was such a disappointment, especially for an Irish pub. An Irish pub should not screw up corned beef & cabbage. It just isn't right. To be fair, our son and his girlfriend's meals looked good, despite them forgetting to hold the onions on his sandwich. Come on guys...you...

I recently hosted a group dinner at The Oak Room in Henderson, and it was a solid choice all around. The place has a nice atmosphere—relaxed and laid-back without feeling too casual. Great setting for both group gatherings and smaller, more personal meals.
We had a reservation for nine people on a Tuesday night. They weren’t overly busy, which made for a smooth experience. Our waiter was excellent—very accommodating and attentive, without being overbearing.
We kicked things off with appetizers: cheeseburger egg rolls, street corn nachos, and beer-brined chicken wings (we tried both buffalo and sweet chili sauces). All three starters were a hit with the group, but the sweet chili wings definitely came out on top as the favorite.
When it came time to order entrees, they were running a bit low on steaks—just one petite filet and two ribeyes left, which isn’t shocking for a Tuesday. Our table ended up with a mix: a petite filet, ribeye, grilled rub pork chop, shrimp scampi, and a few steakhouse burgers. I had a burger myself, and it was cooked perfectly—same could be said for everyone else’s meal across the board.
In short, The Oak Room delivered—good food, great service, and a comfortable environment. I’d recommend it for anyone looking for a dependable dinner spot in Henderson, whether you’re entertaining a group or just out for a night with your...
Read moreBartender was great, but the policy of kicking paying customers out of their seats so someone can play a specific digital poker game, is not what should happen at an Irish pub. Here's my story: I decided tonight to check out the local Irish pub to maybe meet some new people. Everything was great at first, bartender Dylan was nice, food and beer were great. Not many customers right away, then a couple guys came in, sat next to me and we started chatting. It was just what I came in there for. Then almost immediately I'm told some woman wants to play a poker game on their digital games, and even though several other chairs are available with the same set up, apparently the game she's hooked on is on my seat specificly and so the bartender made me move seats, even though he could clearly see what was happening and was reluctant. So instead of enjoying a nice meal and drink with new friends I was told to eat in the corner by myself so the gambling addict could have her way. My entire night was ruined and I'm never coming back. I'd rather go to a bar where I don't need to...
