I have picked up from PF Changs before and have had excellent experiences. Today when I went to pick up the woman treated me like a liar and thief, leaning over to look at my phone, saying she wanted to see it, because apparently she thought I was a liar and wanted to steal some food. On top of that she didn’t even try to welcome me. “What’s the name on your delivery?” She shouts from across the room. Well, hello to you too.
I want you to be aware that the vast majority of restaurants in this area, don’t treat the drivers with such disrespect and dishonor. You’re also a big enough chain to afford the photo system Uber has to see the driver who’s picking up the delivery if you’re that concerned. We have plenty of other places that treat us better to deliver for. After you have a problem having an order delivered by a delivery driver you can change your behavior toward THAT individual.
When I step out to do deliveries I go by this standard.
Excellent delivery for excellent places. Excellent places treat EVERYONE excellently.
To the blond behind the bar who approached me: Think about the way you just treated me. Then ask yourself why I should take my time, my energy, and spend my gas doing a delivery for you?
I’ve worked in the restaurant industry before, guess what I know-restaurants experience guests who dine and dash. Now if you then treated every guest who walked through your doors as though they would dine and dash, what you do think their experience would be like? Do you think you would have very many return guests?
So for your peace of mind, I left the food there. And it’s very possible I won’t be back. Not as a driver and not as a guest. But I’ll probably give it another shot or two at some point, because sometimes a restaurant is going through a season of bad hires.
But if I walk through those doors and am treated the same the next time or two then I will know:
More than likely the food at this location is about as good as the service. Not worth the time, not worth the energy, and not worth the gas. And certainly not worth the money I am able to consistently earn, because of my consistently excellent service. Both for the restaurants and to the guests I deliver to. Have a blessed day.
P.S. A word from the wise, if you treat the drivers like liars and thieves you will probably end up with liars and thieves. Cause those of us who aren’t, don’t have to fight for deliveries. The algorithm is going to reward drivers with good service, because Uber wants good service to...
Read moreFor awhile, I eschewed chain restaurants because I was determined to give my hard-earned dollars to local restauranteurs trying to make it in Vegas. A birthday dinner brought me back to P.F. Chang's. And yes, the food was better than the homegrown dishes.... Start with the soups, the culinary intro to any Chinese meal. The hot and sour soup was both. The vinegar puckered my lips in a broth that was was rich and hearty. Lots of veggies clogged the soup. You could almost eat it with a fork. The won ton soup was the yang to this yin. It had a subtle chicken broth that did not have a hint of grease. The ingredients were in big chunks that were meant for chopsticks. You won't find better green beans anywhere. There is a spicy version and a crispy version. The crispy version is battered like tempura, which was lacey thin. The dish comes with a spicy creamy sauce. The second version has fiery red chili peppers turning up the thermostat. They dot the beans and look like spice grenades. The acres of garlic tame the heat down some. Yum! Both dishes use the whole bean which are cooked to just crispy. The honey shrimp is my favorite dish here. The honey just compliments the fishiness of the sprimp perfectly. As a carnivore, I also have to order the broccoli beef. The restaurant uses a flank steak that comes out medium. Ginger, garlic and green scallions give the dish its flavor. The broccoli: perfectly al dente and deserving of the garlicky sauce. The pork fried rice was studded with eggs, carrots, bean sprouts and onions. The strips of pork had just enough grease left to make them tasty. As for the rice, the grains stayed in the skillet exactly long enough for a softly crunchy texture. I believe in eating dessert first. There are two options that won't disappoint a hardened sweet tooth. Who thought up the apple spring rolls? Genius! They are exactly that: an apple-y filling inside a fried spring roll skin. The best part was the coconut-pineapple ice cream that melts beside them. These are two partners made in heaven. If you are a traditional cheesecake person, you will love P.F. Chang's version. The Texas-sized wedge is a traditional New York cheesecake served with a super tart raspberry coulis. Sweet and sour for dessert too! THANK you Michael for having a birthday and bringing me back to an old favorite. Let's celebrate my...
Read more“BEWARE”! WORST FOOD AND SERVICE I wish there was an option of NEGATIVE Rating. I usually don’t write bad reviews but for the safety of others who are going to this location and spending there hard earned money. Think about it before visiting if you are are not “WHITE”. Our friends from California raved about PF Chang food so we had to try. Our experience started with a great host. She was very welcoming a Perfect example of Customer service. So the issue starts as soon as we get acknowledgment from our server “MICHAEL” as you can see he is looking down on you every-time you are asking a question. We ignored that part and placed our food ordered happily. Food Issue: we ordered Egg drop soup (not hot as it should be) we didn’t say anything, Spring Rolls were okay and Chicken lettuce wrap were okay. Appetizer were not bad but the main course took half hour to come on table and brought cold as if it was waiting in kitchen for so long and it tasted bland (Mongolian Trio, Chilly Chicken, lo Mein).
Service Issue: WORST SERVER “MICHAEL AND MANAGER “LOIUS” Food service standard of quality check was never done after receiving Appetizer or Main by any staff. Even though the restaurant was not busy on a Saturday night around supper time(now we know the reason, Why).So we decided to report to the Manager and as Server “MICHAEL” kept ignoring us even we tried calling him 3-4 times to get side sauce which should be given with food technically. And to ask him why the food is cold?? He didn’t show up and ignored our calls.. Manager Came to listen our story and he left by saying he will be back shortly with the best option to offer. We waited for 10 mins and asked staff to call the Manager again. He came than and said I was busy doing some paperwork. Such a lame reason. This shows How the Leaders are at this Restaurant and why staff doesn’t care about the customer experience. He did some shady Emp Discount of $32. We were not looking for many discount or credits. All we Were Expecting was a sorry! But no body was Apologetic at all.
SUMMARY: This message is mainly for the head office or the Owner to take action if you guys really care about saving this location from...
