I'm only giving it 3 stars because the front counter cashier there (Mckayla, works the day shift) is the sweetest and most genuine young lady to meet and talk to. She's so helpful and is always very nice, no matter how busy and hectic it gets in there. I watched her work her butt off one day, taking multiple orders, running the food out to tables, and then cleaning nonstop. In between handling customers, she was washing down the drink station, sanitizing and washing tables/booths, mopping floors, and emptying trash bins. I couldn't help but think, where is everybody else in this place!? Then I'd hear somebody yell from the back, "RUNNER!" This young lady would then run food outside, also! She's a tiny little person, but the girl knows how to multi-task, that's for sure! The place is spotless. There may be others on different shifts, but yes, I'm giving credit to her because I've seen her do it a few times. It's a pleasure to see that somebody raised this young lady right!! Most young ppl these days lack that drive and are often lazy, with an attitude of entitlement. Not her, and it shows in her mannerisms and personality.
Now, for the restaurant, I really like Whatburger's food.. but this particular location in Hendersonville, TN. seems to drop the ball on their preparation in the kitchen. It's sad too, because Whatburger's food in general is the bomb! It's hit or miss with this place, though! Some days, my order comes out right, and many other days, it seems like the kitchen staff is back there sleeping or just doesn't care about what they're giving their customers. I'm talking about simple stuff that doesn't require much thinking. For example: when requesting no tomatoes, they'll apply extra tomatoes instead. Or, how bout giving me a chicken salad with No Chicken. Never mind about salad dressing packs, what's that? I'm sorry, but the salads are not cheap. I mean, thank you for not forgetting to put lettuce in the container, but I want my chicken plz?! This location just opened about a year ago, I think.. if that. Usually, that's when restaurants seem to get most things right and the food is exceptionally great. Nope.. not here.

Read moreWe are at the hospital and my fiance just got out of ICU. I door dashed Whataburger for over $50 that was a door dash gift card to support us in the hospital. I ordered a whataburger meal with both cheeses and only got one cheese and I ordered a Whatachicken meal with both cheeses and I got NO CHICKEN on my chicken sandwich. It is 1 cheese mayo, lettuce and tomatoes! NO CHICKEN! I called the store and I told the employeel who answered the phone... she got silent, then chuckled, then said hang on and left me on hold for 7 MINUTES before I hung up!! When I called back no one will answer!!!! HORRIBLE service!!!! Im from Texas where Whataburger started and my daughter is an Operating Partner for a Whataburger and can assure you they don't pull this crap!!! Might want to check your franchise!!! When getting our drinks found that the ice machine was not working and informed the cashier who brought us cups of ice to fill our cups with. The 4 of us got our drinks and sat down to eat to only then realize there was no carbonation in any of our drinks.
