Mocha ($5.50): it's probably the most I've splurged on a Mocha but very tasty nonetheless. Nice REAL chocolate flavor with a lovely heart-shaped froth on top. I can definitely see those more health conscientious folks flocking to this location due to their extensive paleo-friendly pastries, matcha lattes, various salads, and cold pressed juices. Those more like me, who don't mind a little extra calories, can enjoy their lattes and other coffee favorites (espresso, cappucino, etc.). The coffee shop perfectly embodies the cozy/intimate coffee shop feel but still captures the beachy/cool vibes of Hermosa Beach. There is plenty of interior and the comfiest patio available as well.
Apart from the incredible coffee, the customer service is highly notable. The baristas all know each regular on a first name basis and even remember their usual drink. Incredible! Lovely experience here this morning and will definitely return for a...
Read moreThis place boasts about its allergen friendly menu which is great for me since I have to careful about hot and spicy ingredients. I bought an incredibly pricey pre-packaged tuna salad, ate two bites and felt a crazy heat spreading in my mouth. I read over the ingredients listed on the package to see if I’d missed something the first time and didn’t see anything hot and spicy. Then I saw that there were tiny pieces of red chili pepper and chili pepper seeds mixed in with the tuna. I have Gastrointestinal Esophageal Reflux Disease and stuff like this can ruin my day. I went to the bathroom and washed my mouth out and luckily got the chili out before I swallowed it. I told the guy at the counter that there’s no point in listing every ingredient on a package if you don’t list EVERY ingredient and it didn’t seem to make a difference to him. On the plus side they do have...

The Source Cafe (est 2017) is a popular and fun little breakfast spot right on Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach. It has a cool vibe, lots of fun things on the menu, healthy smoothies, and baked pastries. Interior design and layout were brilliant with abundant natural light.
We came on an early weekend morning to grab breakfast; it was my first time at this cafe. I was warmly greeted by a male staff with a smile. I ordered an iced coffee and avocado toast. Both items were solid. Breakfast AT was delightful and healthy. Services were spot on. Prices were fair for the area. Plenty of street metered parking.
Overall, this cafe is a good spot for breakfast. I...
