As an avid fan of egg-foo young, I'm always on the lookout for the best spot to satisfy my cravings. While the restaurant's website didn't mention this beloved dish, I decided to take a chance and check out their physical location. To my delight, they had it on the menu and I couldn't wait to dive in.

Let me just say, this restaurant blew my expectations out of the water! As someone who has tried countless Chinese restaurants in NOVA, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. The food quality was simply impeccable - I would confidently give it a 10/10 rating.

The egg-foo young was cooked to perfection, with a delicious taste that left me wanting more. The gravy was the perfect complement, hitting all the right notes and taking the dish to the next level. And what's even more impressive is that the quality of the gravy is indicative of the overall standard of their sauces and soups - I can confidently say they're all fantastic.

We also opted to upgrade to the fried rice, and I have to say, it was worth every penny. This was no ordinary rice dish - it was cooked to perfection in a wok, with the ideal combination of veggies, onions, and egg. The flavor was unbeatable, and I savored every bite.

I have ordered from this place via DoorDash and this has happened to me twice now that my food has taken literally almost 2 hours to to be cooked, picked up and delivered. It’s literally the restaurant who cannot seem to push Chinese food out from their kitchen to the delivery person and out the door in less than an hour. Literally 3/4 door dash drivers have declined because they could not wait for the order to be done. So it’s either the restaurant dislikes taking care of DoorDash orders immediately or they could be busy, or they could be short staff, or they could just not care less about their deliver orders being on time. When I called them, all they could ask me if my two previous orders occurred on Fridays, and then they only apologized only to tell me they see the door dash driver standing here and they’ll get my order out. And nothing more no offer to discount for being delayed, rather they offered 15% discount next order as if I want to order again next time to use the discount but my food is going to be 2 hours late AGAIN! It’s not worth to spend money on food, plus the fees, plus tipping DoorDash, only to wait for 2 hours of large hot and sour soup, general Tso chicken and 8 pieces of dumplings. Two hours to wait for door dash...

Update 10/25/25: I love their hot and sour soup. Their satay is excellent but the chicken in garlic sauce lacked any substantial chicken even though I asked for extra. The chicken dumplings were awful. Lo mein was good but a bit greasy.

Update: 9/5/25: good, tasty food but full of MSG. Had the shakes after my last take out. To scared to order from there again.

Update 8/25/25: had a craving for hot and sour soup and although not the best it is the best in the Herndon Reston area. Reston has does not have a decent Chinese restaurant to speak of. The Satay tonoght was great. The Lo Mein was good but had no chicken as I had requested to be added.

Old review: Have eaten here multiple times with good results but tonight the small hot and sour soup container was half filled making it a mini soup. Found a large piece of something resembling a tooth but on further check it appears to be a piece of plastic. My dessert was suppose to be Mango Mousse but received cheesecake which I dislike. After finding whatever it was in my soup I will not be ordering...
