Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in High Point

POP EYES NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER. WE WERE excited to have a PopEyes near my home. We went last night, and the drive through was reasonably quick and the folks working it were nice. When we arrived at home and opened the bag, we found most of the food was inedible. Literally.

BISCUITS: were pale and white, yet somehow hard as hockey pucks. They went in the trash: My dogs turned their noses up at these biscuits. FRIES: Cold. Clammy. Gluey. Gelatinous. The dogs did find them palatable and would have eaten them all, but I feared they might contract a disease. CHICKEN: Was good. Hot. Crispy. Flavorful. (I’ve never seen wings with so little meat). MAC N CHEESE: The container was approximately 1/3 full. On top, was a scab of burnt cheese. Underneath, the Mac n cheese was good.

Never before have I picked up my phone and gone to a restaurant’s website. But I did last night after this horrible experience. The result? A call back was promised within 24-48 hours.

Poor service had to initially wait in line an extra 10 minutes to process a refund from a employee incorrectly charging my card even after I told her at the service window I had a coupon and handed it to her at the drive thru window. Once I got my food and drink and got home from a first sip of the sweet tea it was the blandest thing I’ve tasted in my life, no where near sweet. I had to take further time out my day to go back up and get a resolve to my drink. I was met with instant rudeness by two managers in the front lobby who had something to do with the initial problem. Was told take another cup and figure it out at the drink stand instead of the initial resolve I asked for.After inconveniencing a customer so much you would think they would have the upmost gratitude but instead it’s the opposite. They act like somebody asked them to work here, you signed all the papers for the job do your job correctly and to the best of your mannerism! Will not be spending another...

My husband and I were excited to have a Popeyes so close to where we are. I ordered a three-piece combo, spicy dark meat, with red beans and no rice. I got one chicken thigh and one wing that weren’t spicy, Red beans with rice, and no biscuit. Basically, the only thing correct in my order was the drink, which I actually got myself. My husband ordered a three-piece combo white meat regular, Red beans and rice. He got a spicy breast, a regular chicken leg, no biscuit. We also ordered an extra red beans and rice that was supposed to be a large. They gave us a small and said they were out of large containers. I waited almost 25 minutes for the food, and they were fully staffed.

I know that they just opened this week, but when your order is printed out on the receipt and you’ve waited 25 minutes, I would hope that at least half your order is correct, although it should be 100%. Give me a break. I would plan to be there a long time and to check your food before you leave...
