This place is rather expensive for a food cart. If you're in a hurry better go to a fast food place. But if you want a DELICIOUS sandwich and you have time. THIS IS THE PLACE!
My husband and I both ordered a beef sharwarma Sag. We had them hold the hot sauce and the garlic sauce. I wish I had told them no sauce of any kind on the sandwich and had sauce on the side for dipping or pouring a dab on each bite.
Sag is the Iraqi term for a wrap. Instead of pocket bread (that ya'll call "pita") the sandwich is wrapped tight with a thin dough and then pressed and grilled crisp on the outside. It looked like a very LONG slender burrito.
For me a good sandwich is all about the right proportions of meat, bread, and "salad" in each bite. This food cart has NAILED it.
Melt in your mouth halal beef. (ALL THEIR MEAT IS HALAL!) Spiced nicely and expertly mixed with tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. There's a sort of tatziki sauce on the sandwich that is tasty but left a giant swimming pool of sauce at the bottom of the sandwich which made the bread soggy and creates a shirt staining mess if you aren't CAREFUL.
Our sandwich was accompanied by 2 little containers of a green sauce that was delicious. Im guessing it was cilantro infused Tahini sauce.
I couldn't finish my sandwich, however this is not a sandwich you can revive later so I removed the meat and onions and threw the rest away. Wrapped them in the foil that the sandwich is wrapped in and took that part home to reheat.
In my opinion the portions are just too big. Either make the sandwiches smaller AND the price LOWER or offer two sizes for people who might try something else on your menu if they weren't broke and STUFFED by your sandwiches. $30 for two sandwiches seems a bit pricey.
Please remember to tip the nice folks in cash. Tips on cards won't make their way to the hardworking people who actually served you. (Says a little birdie....)

Read moreThis is my wife's go to food cart. The food is always delicious, and we have never been disappointed. Today we both had the Chicken Gyro and the garlic fries. The gyros are huge, packed, and delightfully messy. Grab extra napkins. The garlic fries are on a whole other level. These are NOT your typical garlic fries, they are also not low calorie. Be sure to get the ones with the sauce on top. We highly recommend. I really hope to try their Baklava one day, but I'm...
