You’d never know this taphouse is in the midst of an industrial park but apparently they’ve been here 11 years? This place could REALLY use a facelift. The walls are grungy, with paint chipping off. The floors are worn out (wood floors would look great). There’s a stairway which leads to a storage area and a giant vent that has something questionable coming out of it that looks like some sort of fiber. That whole eye sore could be blocked with drywall. As you look up, you can see that the wall looks incomplete, with wood jutting out of it. Big screen TVs with wires sticking out (you know, you can easily fix that). It’s a shame because it could look really nice instead of the mess it’s in. The beer is good, there’s free popcorn. You can purchase chips. That’s all. It’s obviously a word-of-mouth place and where the locals hang out. Definitely gives a “vibe” that is not welcoming. Unfortunately, the pictures (from others) make it look a lot nicer than it really is. P.S. I see in some of the pictures that there is food? We were not given a menu or even an option...
Read moreI have loved every beer I have tried here, and you never really know what's happening when you walk in the door. It could be a sporting event viewing with a buffet, it could be a Bukowski-esque poetry reading with some locals, it could be a chill night playing board games, or a themed trivia night. You just figure it out when you get there. It's almost always packed on the weekends, but the outdoor area is great for summer nights and there are always some interesting/crazy people to talk to, but you'll be in your cups so you won't care and you'll love it. It's so un-hip that's it's almost hip, and the variety of different people who show up on Saturday nights is a hilarious mixed bag. Good times all around. Also there are always 2-6 dogs roaming around, and I get to live out my drunk Snow White fantasies,...
Read moreThree Mugs is located in a warehouse park and the atmosphere feels very much like “Cheers” (if you don’t know what Cheers is— Google it, it’s a funny show). The bartender was awesome, super friendly. The beer was GREAT. While I’m not a heavy beer drinker, I like beer tastings. My husband and I like to taste the beer, discuss the notes we taste, then read the description of the beer to see if we tasted the intended recipe.
The Macadamia White Chocolate Ale— was impeccable. It’s not often you get a beer that has layers of intended flavors and you taste each one. This beer accomplished that.
I only had time for one that day, but I will be...
