Gorgeous! We just love this family friendly park so much. Not a huge playground but they have swings and a few little toys. I come for the wildlife including adorable squirrel's and pretty birds and we even saw a really cool snake last time! Also for the giant gorgeous old growth trees, beautiful flowers and foliage, great walking trails, and occasionally the disc golf course! The restrooms are very clean which I appreciate for the kiddos especially. Enjoy the sun or take a rest in the shade. We love to exercise, picnic, and play here! Another thing I appreciate is people bring there doggos and they take very good care to have them on a leash and I have never seen a single doggy 💩 in the grass or on the trails! I love doggies so much but it is such a bummer when their humans don't pick up after them and you or your kid step in it. Not a problem at Orchard Park! It is immaculate so thank you all you awesome doggy humans! You rock!...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite parks in the area. The bridge trail going through the "marshy" area is pretty neat, I take my toddler and dog here often and they both have a good time. The other long path goes under some power lines which I am not fond of but this IS a inner city park. It has a lot of privacy from the roads and a lot of tree cover which is fantastic. It is always clean and the bathrooms have indoor plumbing with running water and paper towels to dry your hands. There are two children's areas which are okay. It got 4 of 5 star's as the play areas are limited and the structures are outdated and a little odd. They are bug themed and my 3 year old gets bored of them quickly. If it is a trip mainly for the kids, I would recommend Magnolia Park. If you want a nice walking trail to enjoy nature without regard to child enjoyment then Orchard park is a great place to go. It is great for...
Read moreHome to one of the few public disc golf courses in the area. Much of the open fields are fairways for disc golf, so be weary when using these areas. Disc Golfers will need to use caution as not all park goers are aware of the course. The course is very short, both in holes and distance, but still offers diverse shot opportunities. The fairways are all in great shape, but the natural ob areas are full of the disc golfers worst enemy, blackberries. The playground area looks very nice and has a large bolder that looks fun to climb on. There is a short trail through a wetlands area that provides a nice escape from the suburban scenery. The bathrooms are typically clean, though they could use a soap dispenser. The water fountain works well and is...
