I was reminded today why I quit going to this Hillsborough joint years ago. There was one person waiting to order when my son and I came in, and one couple just finishing ordering. When that couple walked away, the cashier stood around about a minute, then left to get himself a soda. He came back, put the soda on a tray on the serve-counter, turned around and waited about 2 minutes until someone handed him a large burger. He placed that next to the soda, then went back to his register and started fiddling with a credit card and money. Then he poured himself a Frosty, put that on the tray, got a package of fries and went and sat down and started eating. Both registers were unoccupied for several minutes until a young woman who had been talking to some one by the fry vats came over and took the order of the next person in line. By now my son and I had stood there 10 minutes, while a line was building behind us that reached the door. When the guy in front of us had given his order, the woman handed him his drink cup by placing her finger way down into it. She then walked back over to the fry vats and began bagging food for the drive-thru. About then 6 people in line left. I was going to leave but my son wanted to stay. About 10 minutes passed and the woman came back to the register and asked for our order. I was there especially to get the Carolina Classic Combo but, decided to order only a Jr. Cheeseburger because I no longer wanted to spend any money in this joint. When she took my order, again she handed me our cups using her fingers inside the cups and then she turned around and went back to gabbing at the fry vats. After I placed my order I had to wait another 10 minutes for my food to arrive. While standing around, I saw at least another 6 people leave who hadn't ordered. Notice, we had been there at least 35 minutes. Read moreI am a regular customer here at this wendys and its about time i let some things be known. First off this location is usually filthy, 6 days out of the week the trashcans are overflowing with trash, there is an infestation of flys flying around the windows and trash cans to the point im doing more swatting than eating everytime im here. Countless times i have walked into filthy restrooms with dried urine on the floors and toilet seats, toilet paper on the floor behind the toilet, deffication left in and around the rim of the toilet, and in worse cases i have walked in to see vomit in the bathroom sink. A better experienced General Manager would solve the many issues this location has. I have spoken with various employees from this location and have been told that the General Manager comes and goes as she pleases, there are many cases where she has left the workplace early to do leisure activities such as traveling to the beach to try and miss traffic on the highways. I have also heard by customers that frequent this location that the GM is racist. Personally i have been singled out by the GM and harrassed in attempts to call DSS because my child sits with me at this wendys until his mother gets off of work. Im honestly fed up, specifically with the natures of the General Manager. Just because i have a relationship with someone that works at this location does not make me any different than any other paying customer that enters the building. I spend my money here just like anyone else does and i deserve to be treated with respect and exceptional customer service regardless of my skin color, or relationship to any employee. I will not be spending any more money at this location and if you want to be treated with respect and dignified in your purchases, i recommend you spend your money elsewhere such as the mebane location....
Read moreToday is Sunday October 5th, 2025. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS WENDY'S IN HILLSBOROUGH. I noticed the way the "Manager"( She has no right with this title because she couldn't manage her way out of a traffic cone in the middle of the road) First off she treated the elderly gentleman in front of me ( in the drive thru line at 2:50pm) like he was a nuisance. I think I heard "What's your order?" First. No hello. No how ya doin?. Nothing. Very courteous of a manager? Then my order was grossly incorrect. I asked for two plain Cheeseburgers and got two hamburgers. When I inquired inside she said " You ordered two Cheeseburgers plain, and that's what I gave you" . No apology because obviously in her mind she could do no wrong. I then repeated CHEESE burgers. Still she had a hard time understanding. Then she yells at me to lower my voice when she realized she had made a mistake. Wow. Just wow. I will NEVER patronize this establishment again. So unbelievably unprofessional. Hire and do better Wendy's in Hillsborough. What a joke. Luckily the cooks and front counter gentlemen were courteous and so much nicer to deal with than this supposed manager.
