The chicken is GREAT! The beef ribs had to be torn off the bones!.. WHAT THE HECK!..HAD TO BAKE THEM ONCE WE GOT HOME.. THEY WERE TASTY THOUGH!

BEWARE OF THE WRITTEN RECEIPTS! The woman at the counter adds her own tax to each individual item. She charged $34.00 for the $31.00 Stephanie combo, and attributed the extra $3.00 as tax. They also charge $1.54 to use a credit card. There was a guy there.. who instructed her to return the fee. It was posted, but it sign was hidden behind the tip jar on the counter! There was also a hassle getting barbeque sauce that wasn't freezing cold, to put on our hot food! I asked for napkins.. she gave me one for each person!! I asked for to go trays she gave me one at time.. and the sheets of aluminum foil separately as well. SHE was VERY RUDE, as she returned the FEE, saying that it was a couple of cents.. YES 154 CENTS THAT BELONGED TO ME! Which leads me to believe that added her own tax and charging a couple of cents to each customer ..SHE MAKES OUT WELL AT THE END OF THE NIGHT! They DON'T have a key for the restroom .. I thought I made a mistake and locked the door ..because the person using it didn't answer a knock to the door.. so I asked for the key... Her response was.. I DON'T HAVE NO KEY!.. And finished doing what she was doing. Basically I am from NEWARK.. BUT I CAME TO HILLSIDE.. because professional service in the hood could be hit and miss.. and I THOUGHT it would be safer and a more professional place to take my Mom and Goddy... BUT it was a horrible experience for them!. GREAT CHICKEN.. BUT NOT TO BE CHEATED OUT OF MONEY AND TO BE TREATED AS A BOTHER.. RATHER THAN A PLEASURE TO SUPPORT THEIR BUSINESS.. ALGARVE RESTAURANT CHICKEN IS JUST AS GOOD... WITH PROFESSIONAL SERVICE! THIS WOMAN THINKS BECAUSE THEIR FOOD IS GOOD.. SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ACCOMMODATING! NEVER ONCE ASKED THROUGHOUT OUR MEAL.. Keeping it real. Someone else I know, orders from the one in Roselle New Jersey. When I got to the one, in Hill Side N.J. After calling in the orders, closer to where I live. The cook and her staff member, didn't look clean. Meaning their clothes and look like they washed that day. To say, I ordered grilled food. It didn't looked like, their grill had not been cooked on. I saw no smoke or flames coming from it. But yet, I ordered grilled food. I love grilled food and I know when food has been grilled. After getting the food home, it didn't taste like it was grilled. It tasted like pre oven cooked food. I was really upset, because I was convinced by someone else to go there. I usually go to a place, in Bellville New Jersey. If possible, I would not give any stars. I called to place a full order of ribs and chicken, the gentleman tells me it'll be ready for pickup in 30-40 minutes. Ok, fine! I get there and he tells me I have to wait 15 minutes - I tell him "ok." I sit down and I tell my ride that has a baby in the car "the food will be ready in another 15 minutes." So my ride said they'll wait, it makes no sense to go back and forth. 20 minutes later... still waiting. At this point I'm getting phone calls - where's the food, what's going on... ect. So we decided to cancel the order. I tell the gentleman why I'm canceling and he just nods his head and shrugs his shoulders. WELL THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME!!! I give the place a shot and I completely regret it, so on my way to Burnett BBQ. I'd rather take the drive any day than deal with...
