Fontano's Subs — Restaurant in Hinsdale

Very rude staff.

Reply: I was asked to wait for my order in the next room. After quite a bit of time I asked if the order was ready and they said it was and that they couldn't find me to give me the order. I explained that I was where they asked me to wait the whole time and then the worker yelled at me that I was supposed to be standing on the dot in the next room so he could find me, something which he never said. So not only were they taking orders around me, which I patiently waited without saying anything about, But they yelled at me for not being able to find me when I waited exactly where they told me to.

Edit: I did not sit on stacked chairs. I waited where you asked me to wait. In the other room. Where I picked a place that would the most out of peoples way. I will be happy to stand on the stickers that not one person was standing on though, I just don't want to here you guys yelling when that means I'm in peoples way. The order was also 10 minutes past it's pick up time as you continued to take walk in orders and complete them before mine. You guys were completely rude the whole time, and now continue to be as you lie. Do you lash out at all your customers? I bet if I went in there and treated your customers how you treated me you would ask me to leave because no deserves to be...

I love the food here and I come in frequently but lately the staff has been rude, particularly the boys making the subs , I personally work in a restaurant and I would never communicate with customers the way the kids behind the counter do, I’ll give you guys another try but I would consider maybe talking to some of the staff about how they treat their customers or outright replacing them, I have never felt this way about a restaurant that I love so much and that’s why I am sharing my experience. It’s hard to give a business my money when the kids behind the counter treat me more like a nuisance than a paying customer. The subs will always be my favorite in the area but the kids working the line should maybe consider another job that doesn’t involve hospitality because it sure left a bad taste in my mouth the last few times...

This location is NOTHING like the location in the city. I order from the location near Taylor street all the time in the city.

Every time I order here the order is NEVER ready nor does the workers seem to care. I’ve ordered from this location 3 different times and all 3 times there was always a “ problem”. I work near by and everytime I’ve came to this location I felt out of place. I will not be supporting THIS location anymore. Starting to think it’s a racial problem everytime I come. Then for me to order 3 sandwiches and to receive nothing I’ve ordered is INSANE.

How do you get a whole order WRONG when I’m there in person and you guys are making the sandwiches and still give the customer the wrong sandwiches? Honestly this location needs to be CLOSED. If I could give 0...
