We called earlier to see if they could accommodate a table for 7 and they said they were booked for reservations but to just arrive 45-hour before the rest of the party to get seated when everyone else arrived. We showed up and was told there’d be 40-50 minute wait. We waited in the front weather-proof area. 50 minutes goes by and we were still not seated and asked how much longer (they seated plenty of parties of 4 while we waited) the girl said 20 more minutes. The front area has 3 empty4-top tables and i asked if we could just push those closer together to eat and they said yes or wait 20 minutes to be seated inside. We decided to wait since we’d been waiting for so long to be seated inside anyway. 20 minutes went by and they decided to have us sit in the front patio and just serve us drinks until our table inside was ready. Probably another 40 minutes went by and we decided just to stay put in the front area on the picnic tables that don’t allow for more than 6 people so i had to sit with two tables legs between my two legs. There was also a heat lamp directly above our table that baked all of us including a 5 month old baby. We were celebrating my fiancés new job and it really ruined the night by how low priority fuller house treats large parties. Another large group came in shortly after we decided to stay put and we watched them stand and wait with 2 babies one was tiny so the poor new mother that is probably exhausted had to stand until they finally got seated at 8:00….THREE HOURS after our original arrival time when we were told the wait would be 40 minutes. It appears they only have one table in the whole restaurant to accommodate large groups but no one told us we were waiting on one particular table that could have stayed all night. Not to mention, their food is truly nothing special for a 3 hour wait.
Giving 2 stars because our waitress was pleasant. We will not be back though. We had my fiancés parents and friends all drive 40 min-hour to come here because the only other time we went it was decent. I felt embarrassed as the “hostess” to have...
Read moreMy wife and I went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Our server was Kim and she went above and beyond to make sure our first dining experience was a memorable one. For starters we began with the Cauliflower Bites and Clock Shadow Cheese Curds. Both were awesome. The Cauliflower Bites came in a light breading tossed in a buffalo sauce and topped with blue cheese crumbles. The buffalo sauce was not too spicy and definitely not overrun with Franks Red Hot like most are. The blue cheese crumbles were not too funky and had a nice creaminess to compliment the sauce very well. The curds were of course breaded and had a great crunch. Served with a marinara and southwest ranch style for dipping. For dinner my wife had the double decker tacos which were filled with an Adobe Chicken that resembled Chicken Tinga. The flavors were next level and came together nicely. I had the birria tacos and I will stand ten toes down that they could rival ANY Quesabirria taco in the city of Chicago and it's surrounded suburbs. A beautiful amount of cheese with a very meaty chunk of beef birria. Topped with a chipotle crema and fresh pico de gallo. The additions of those on top of the meat and cheese took it to another level. The amount of items on the menu is perfect. The diversity of the menu items is perfect and could suffice any palate any almost any age group. From small plate starters to salads and bowls. Handhelds and full blown dinner plates. A whiskey menu that came from heaven, plus cocktails and craft beer along with service that you do not see anymore in places like that. It's nice to finally see people/employees/managers taking pride not only in food quality but in customer service as well. This was our first time there and I will promise you it will not be our last. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did if you venture...
Read moreI cannot stress this enough: customer service is the single most important metric by which I judge the quality of a restaurant. A menu of delicious foods and tasty drinks, while obviously significant, can never compensate for lackluster efforts or unprofessional behavior via the restaurant staff.
Please keep this criteria in mind when I tell you that my experience at the Fuller House was EXEMPLARY! My fiancé and I decided to drop in after a day of errands in the burbs. We were paired with a young waiter named Carolina who from start to finish demonstrated a superior grasp of the mechanics of good customer service.
She was thoroughly conversant with the menu and provided my fiancé and I (neither of us had ever been to the Fuller House before) with quality recommendations for both appetizers and the entrée, recommendations which proved to be delectable. Seriously, the food was pretty damned good, particularly the wings with the BBQ dry rub and the grilled cheese.
Carolina took care to space the arrival of our appetizers appropriately so that we weren't forced to wolf down so much food at one point in time; you might be surprised how frequently that presents as a problem at other venues. Every second that she was at our table was a joy as her personality and sense of humor were always on display.
If you should ever read this review, Carolina, just know that my fiancé and I are very thankful for your service, and we wish you the best of luck in all of your endeavors.
I eagerly look forward to the day that we're in Hinsdale again. Assuredly, Fuller House will be a...
