Went back to Page’s after a long hiatus! Used to live in Hinsdale and took my family often to eat there under the old ownership! It was good then and had a loyal following but oh boy it is even better now! This small family restaurant has been in Hinsdale for about 50 years! Seven years ago a daughter/ mother team(Sissy and her mom Kathy) bought Page’s and have maintained that homey atmosphere! Strangers at the counter talk with each other! The walls are covered with customers’ photos! What could be better! The food is DELICIOUS…..I ordered a fluffy vegetable omelette with raisin bread and potato fritters! You have to ask for the fluffy omelette as it is prepared with steam to make it light and airy! Only on weekends do they have the famous apple cider donuts! I tend to enjoy the more personal, welcoming service you often get at these kinds of places, but that wasn’t quite the experience here. The service was efficient and got the job done, but it didn’t feel especially warm or friendly.
