BG's Burgers & More — Restaurant in Hobbs

Honestly, I'm biased because any place that serves tots is automatically up in my list. I love the texture of them and the option to get them instead of fries is just chef's kiss.

But other than the fact they have tots, their food is just top notch, especially for a local fast food (fast casual?) joint. The green chile burger is flavorful. They season the beef instead of just relying on the toppings to give it flavor, which is always nice. Bland meat with flavorful toppings is always disappointing, and BG's doesn't play that game.

The tots were crispy on the outside and fluffy and creamy on the inside, in only the way potatoes can be. They weren't too greasy and were salted just right.

The take out packaging was great. Condiment packs were stashed under the food and napkins were plentiful.

I'll be back...

Drive thru and walk-up window with a single outdoor picnic table. Menu of 7 burgers, 7 chicken & other sandwiches, plus tacos, burritos, a chile dog; chicken strip, steak finger, and shrimp baskets. Breakfast burritos and sandwiches served from 7am to 10:30am. A green chile cheeseburger is my measure of anyplace that serves them. Mine was cooked to order and served with a generous side of lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and fries; packaged condiments on the side. They were busy with grand opening frenzy, but had my order out in 10 minutes. I'll be back... (3rd visit: Whoah, won't order BG nachos again. Interesting, with brisket & bbq sauce, but chips had enough salt to meet sodium MDR for a family of four, aaand the horses they rode in...

The waitstaff in this place is absolutely horrible! A waitress came by and told us it would be 5-10 mins before we could be seated. After waiting over 20 mins without any communication from anyone working here, we were finally told again it would be another 5-10 mins. Then, we noticed that one of the tables that was seated before us still hadn't gotten their drinks and hadn't yet ordered. It was after this that we left to go elsewhere. The staff in this place have no desire to help any customers and are missing for long periods of time while having active tables. Totally unprofessional and a bad look for this business...
