My daughter's recent visit to Fiore's Italian Deli was deeply disheartening. As she entered this cozy eatery, eagerly anticipating a delightful meal, she encountered a distressing situation that ultimately led her to swiftly exit.
Her heart was set on savoring a delicious chicken parmigiana sandwich, something she had been craving. However, her experience took a disheartening turn when she politely asked the lady behind the counter if they had chicken parmigiana. Instead of a warm and welcoming response, she was met with an extremely rude and dismissive attitude. In a brusque manner, the lady informed her, very abruptly and loudly, that they did not have chicken parmigiana. When my daughter then asked for a menu, hoping to explore other options, she was met with the dismissive remark to "figure it out."
This encounter not only upset my daughter but also left her profoundly disappointed. She had expected the comforting embrace of Italian cuisine and the inviting ambiance of an Italian deli. Regrettably, this initial interaction fell far short of the hospitality she anticipated.
She then decided to leave and as she was on her way out, another worker tried to make amends by offering her a slice of mozzarella to make her feel better. However, this gesture took a disturbing turn when the worker handed her the mozzarella with his dirty bare hand. Despite this unsettling circumstance, my daughter, still disheartened by the earlier experience, accepted it.
As she left the deli, still reeling from the unpleasant experience, my daughter was so upset that she fell on the street. The emotional impact of the encounter was palpable and even led to a physical mishap.
It's crucial to recognize that the reputation of an Italian deli is built not only on the quality of its food but also on the warmth and respect it extends to all patrons. In this respect, Fiore's Italian Deli has room for improvement.
In conclusion, while Fiore's Italian Deli may indeed offer delightful Italian cuisine, the lack of courtesy and kindness displayed during my daughter's brief visit was undeniably disheartening. This disappointing experience has left my husband, who previously enjoyed the place and is a consistent customer, with a sour impression, and he has decided not to return. I sincerely hope that the management addresses this issue, as a welcoming atmosphere is a vital part of any dining establishment, and it was sorely lacking during my...

Place is located on the quieter side of Hoboken, thankfully they have their own parking lot which makes it a lot easier to quickly stop in and run out with some sandwiches.
This is a small and class little Italian bodega style, line was already out the door by the time I arrived at 10:45AM!!! Line was quick, service is friendly and fast but I highly suggest that you know what you want before hand. Moment you walk in, there is bread selection on the right (you pick your roll/sub). Then you wait patiently to place your order and let them know if you want any pickles, hot peppers or roasted red peppers and they will add that separately last. Amazing selection of pickled condiments!!
Roast Beef Sandwich with fresh Motz & gravy (Only served on Thursday and Saturdays!!!!) Roast beef and gravy was hot and so friggin delicious!!! I literally was drooling from the pure smell inside the deli and waiting for my sandwich I almost ate it in the store as we were paying because it smelled amazing and was so garlicky goodness.
Turkey with Fresh Motz & Gravy - hubba hubba....sooo good!
Prosciutto with Fresh Motz on a hard long roll - amazing!!! Absolutely can not go wrong with anything from here. It was super fresh prosciutto, the fresh motz was chewy and warm still (fresh) and super thick cuts with the roasted red peppers! It was amazing!
Only thing is be wary that the price per sub is higher than subway. So bring cash and make sure to bring a hearty appetite for...
Read moreI've been living in Hoboken for almost five years now and I still haven't gotten around to trying the roast beef special. We finally decided to check it out July 4th weekend. The sandwich is only available on Thursdays and Saturdays. All the reviews said to come early before they sell out early, but we weren't able to make it in until 11:30 AM. Luckily, they still had the sandwich (maybe be everyone was away from the holiday weekend?). We weren't even sure how to order but the guy in front of us was ordering like a pro, so we just copied him. We ordered one roast beef with mozz and gravy and hot peppers to share. The sandwich is $20 (pretty steep) but it's big enough for two people.
I must say it was a bit overrated. I don't know if it was because we ate it 20 minutes after the fact, but I didn't love it. I thought the sandwich would be super soggy but it surprisingly (and thankfully) wasn't - probably because of the bread they used, which is why I didn't like it. It was very chewy and had a burnt flavor to it but I guess if you're going to make a sammie with gravy, you need something sturdy. The roast beef and mozz were really good but bread plays a major factor. Not sure I'd trek back but I am glad that we finally got to try it, so now we can check it off our...
