Myself and My Colleagues came to Holland on a Business Trip to purchase equipment from a defunct trucking company. It being our first time in Michigan and The Fact That WE Were “Hangry As Grizzly Bears”, we asked the driver of our car service to take us to Best Pizza Joint he knew of in Holland and we were brought to Fricano’s. From the moment we crossed the threshold of the door, to the time of our departure, EVERYTHING And Everyone we encountered was awesome, Awesome… AWESOME!!! The Pizza we ordered was by far the Most Unique and Delicious I’ve Ever Tasted, North of The Mason Dixon Line (L👀K Out NYC, You’ve Got Some Krazi Good Competition 🍻🍕), In Western Michigan, of All Places! We ordered a table full Pepperoni Pizzas and Some Ice Cold Suds!!!🥶🍺 The Crust on these pizzas was Amazing, Thin, Flaky and Baked To Perfection with cheese overflowing on the edges that was baked crispy. The Sauce was Tangy, but not too sweet and seasoned to Perfection. Our server, Kat, was as Kind and Attentive as we could have ever imagined and that “Homegirl Swagger” she laid down, just made our meal taste Even More Better! She said that she was a Local Gal and had lived there in Holland her entire life. Servers all across America need to take a page out of her book on how to Treat Folks….. Kindness and Personality goes A Long Way in the restaurant industry and She Has That. Thanxz So Much Kat!✝️ I don’t know what else can be said about Fricano’s, other than this Place is “Pure Michigan!” On my next trip to Michigan, Fricano’s Izz Going To Be The First Stop When I Get Off The Plane!!!🛩️🍕🤭🍻🛩️🍕🤫🍻🛩️🍕😆🍻🎼🎹🎸🥁🎭🎙️🎚️🩵☮️

This experience was terrible. I do feel bad because we did come in a bit late, but were in and out fairly quickly and gone about 20 min before close. As a former server I do dislike doing this, but we just got into town after an all day drive and we're hungry. The server was hands down the worse server I have ever gotten at any restaurant ever.. She was wearing a large coat inside and kept rolling the carpet cleaner right next to us as we were trying to eat. It was pretty obnoxious. We asked for a menu. She just said "we don't have none," rather than letting us know they have paperless menu online. We ordered just a pepperoni to be safe. We asked for parm and she said again "we dont got none." Which was a bit frustrating. It was easily brushed off because there was a lot of fresh parm on the pizza and the pizza was pretty good. My partner hated it, but he hates all thin crust. Then came time to pay the bill. NOTHING is more frustrating than places that don not take card and post up an outrageously priced ($4) ATM in their establishment. Greedy!!! Also, the cost was decent, but the server was so poor at her job we didn't wast to consort again to ask for change. She deserved no tip at all let alone a 4 dollar tip. So a 16 dollar total cost us 24 dollars. Ridiculous. To add insult to injury she asks if we wanted it packed up to go. And she put it between 2 paper plates and put over half a pizza cheese to cheese and smashed it into a paper bag rather than into a proper box. Photo of the pizza in the fridge of the Tiny House B&B after I unpacked from that travesty.

Fricano's is a West Michigan classic. It's a divisive place, with devoted fans and even louder haters. They make cheap, flat, greasy pizza - and that's about it. Literally, there's no menu. Come here and get pizza, one size option, one crust option. There's nothing quite like it, so come prepared to try something new and different if you've never had it. Pizza has only 5 available toppings: pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, mushroom, and anchovy. Don't ask for anything else because you ain't getting anything else. Pizza is about $12.50 a piece, and the usual order size is one pizza per person. It's not world-changingly good pizza, but it's tasty and it's different than anything else in its category. I don't think I've ever known someone who requests Fricano's more than once a year. A common West Michigan joke is that Fricano's pizza is so greasy it's better to use a straw than a fork to eat it. Come here to try it out so you can have an opinion on it. Only then you are allowed after a few beers to scream your opinion at other Michiganders with the opposite, and thus wrong, opinion. Loudly disagreeing about Fricano's is a true Michigan tradition.

Completely horrible. First time there and will never go back! Was seated and ten minute later a rude waitress came to the table and asked what we wanted. When I asked where the menus were she scoffed and said there were no menus. Its just a pizza with 5 toppings. We then ordered our pizzas and asked for one of them to be half mushroom, When we got our pizzas 45-60 minutes later the one that was supposed to be half mushroom was covered with mushrooms. When my husband had stated that it was incorrect she looked at him and simply said "What do you want me to do about it?" He asked if we could have a replacement as she messed the order up and she stomped off. About another 30 minutes later we were still waiting for the messed up pizza. we hadn't had refills on our drinks and asked for them. Finally my husband spotted another waitress and asked her if we could get some refills. She was amazing and promptly brought them to us, as she set them on our table the rude waitress came up and rudely said to her co-worker "I had the drinks!!!" Also while waiting the hour for our pizzas the hostess was drinking a margarita and chatting with the wait staff while the nice waitress was running in circles. after receiving the pizza that had been corrected my friend asked for another beer. She went and got the beer chatted with the bartender for a few minutes and then proceeded to slam the beer on the table. After we had ate the pizza, which was disgusting, we got up and went to pay our check. when my husband was asked how the service was he told the manager all that had happened. The rude waitress then confronted him and said " what else did you want me to do?" When my husband answered that she could have at least brought him one refill of his water she turned around and stormed through the kitchen doors. Honestly i don't know how this place stays in business but I for sure will not be back. Only rated with one star because negative stars...
