We were fortunate enough to find this place while visiting the lovely beaches in the area. The location is a small part of the downtown area and can be easily missed. This would be unfortunate as it will be a destination spot for us in the future. The place was relatively empty when we arrived. We quickly got seated and our server was very nice. you do get a sense that it might be a family run business and it almost felt like we were interrupting them for dinner. Lol. There were several dishes ordered here and everyone of them was really good! I can say that we split the pineapple fried rice with everyone in the group and one person in our group loved it so much they wish they would’ve ordered it for their main meal. The general Taos chicken was the best I’ve had. The outside coating was crispy yet thin enough to not drown out the chicken. The sauce associated with it was flavorful but not too spicy. The beef plate that I ordered was probably the most expensive at $16, however it was really tasty. The meat was tender and super flavorful. The added vegetables in the plate just complemented everything. The various soup dishes were a bit spicy, so if you don’t like spice, I would not recommend these. The pad Thai was good, however lacked a bit of flavor. It seemed everything was very fresh! I would highly recommend this place as a dinner or lunch spot. If you like Thai or Chinese type food, this place will not let you down.

I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and it was the BEST freaking ramen in a loooong time! Moving to Michigan the food in this state sucks! It's rare to find a restaurant that's actually good and knows how to season their food. The only place I've been able to get ramen is Ginza in Grand Rapids and their Tonkotsu SUCKS. It's so bland and flavorless. I couldn't put my finger on what it was missing until I tried ramen from this place. I saw another reviewer on here that said to go to Ginza over this place and I highly disagree! Ok so Ginza gives you 3 thick porks in the ramen. Probably because they have to. Their ramen is so bland that the pork is the only thing that has flavor lol. Anyway I definitely recommend Ol Asian over Ginza. Yes, this place does give you only one thinly sliced pork and they did forget my seaweed crunch in it but I'd still take this place over Ginza. Last time I had good ramen like this was last year in Georgia. Also they add ginger to it which gives it such a good flavor. I've never had ginger in my ramen. Service wasn't anything exceptional or special. Can't wait to go back!

Very clean and modern look, the menu is full of amazing dishes and I personally have not found a single dish I didn't enjoy. For a recommendation I highly encourage you try the Thai Ice Tea which is sweet and packed with flavor. For the app, the Crispy Roll is my personal favorite with it's delicious filling and crunchy outside texture. Last but not least, the Crown Jewel if you ask me, is Thai Beef Noodle. It is not just the best dish on the menu in my opinion but one of the best dishes I have ever had in my entire life. The flavors that wash over your mouth as you take your first sip are mind expanding. The broth is phenomenal and more that a few times the chef has somehow made it extra delicious, the noodles are cooked to perfection, and the beef simply melts in your mouth it's so tender. Personally I love to drink as much of the broth as possible before using chopsticks on the noodles and beef and then simply drinking the last drops of deliciousness directly from the bowl. I simply cannot gush over this dish enough, it is a must try!

I judge a business not on their mistakes, we all make them, but on how they handle their mistakes. Went in today with my family because of all the great reviews.

First, the food all came out at different times, a good 20 minutes from the first entree arriving until the last entree arrived. Was told they 2 chefs and they don't work at the same speed.

Second, the last entree brought out was Chicken Pad Thai. This was basically a vinegar flavored pasta with some overcooked dry chicken put on it, guess it took so long to get to the table because the chef was too busy over cooking it. Waitress asked me how the food was, and I told her that it had a strong vinegar flavor and the chicken was dry making it inedible. She apologized and went to tell the chef. When she came back she told me that the Chef said he made it right so they cannot take it off the bill or give me something else, then offered a free Thai Tea to go. I ended up paying over $100 4 people and they couldn't make one dish right that was clearly prepared wrong. Then to add insult to injury when the waitress brought out the bill she had added an 18% gratuity to it. Guess she knew that she messed up and wanted to make sure that she still got her tip.

In summary if they make the food right, it's good, but when they mess up they will refuse to make it right and stick you with the bill. Terrible customer service, I highly recommend finding another place to...

As somebody who's been spoiled by a very nice family run sushi and ramen spot up in Big Rapids for the last five years that had recently shut down the S/O and I have been looking for an alternative, unfortunately OI Asian Bistro just leaves much to be desired in the way of taste and menu items.

The menu is small, limited, and rather gentrified to fit the aesthetic of the rest of downtown which is where the faults start. When ordering we were told nearly half the items were not available that night, and the stuff we did end up getting? You could do better yourself with instant ramen and minute rice. The ramen had a good broth and good pork, but that's where the good stuff ends. I also made the mistake of ordering the chicken as an add-on to the ramen (It's fried so have fun having soggy chicken). In the end the food was not worth the price equivalent of a nice Hibachi steak dinner at the local Hibachi restaurant.

However, I do think with a little elbow grease and some menu edits/rearrangements once more customer reviews come in this place has a major potential niche just like its sushi counterpart...
