Our expectations were way too high -
Seating: Seated upon arrival, very pleasant greetings at the door. This is the end of the good experience.
Dirty Tables, Rude Hostess: After being seated at the table, noticed a huge sticky spot (approx. 4" x 9") in the center of the table (right where the menus landed). Hostess did not pass them out or place them but rather tossed them into the sticky area. We complained and she asked "would you like me to wipe the table down", after we of course said "well, YES", she mentioned it was not her job but that she will do it for -- she grabbed the 'whatever' rag from another table sitting there and wiped our table of the sticky goo.
Dirty Silverware: All silverware had a cloudy film on it. We used clean shirt tales to scrub the silverware clean. Else, we would have been served food without clean utensils at all by the time they may have ever brought out anything better.
Lame Waitress: she was pleasant, full of smiles but very slow and lied to us several times. Yes, literally lied to us. She would run off to get one of the many things we had to ask for more than once, be found 10 mins later joking with a group at another table and then return without what we asked for. Then she had excuses about what she was doing which in reality, she was unaware we fully witness what she was and was NOT doing. She did a wonderful job keeping drinks filled. Also, when wife's soup did not arrive with her meal, waitress said -- "oh, yeah -- I did not put that order in because I wanted to save you money" and then indicated she would go retrieve said soup -- it arrived later.
Ordering: We asked for extra sauces and were willing to pay the extra monies for the convenience in having what we expected and being fair that its not free. However, she argued and said to ask her AFTER the meal comes out, that she can save us money. Sad part, the meal came out and she was no where to be found! The chance to order food came nearly 10 or 15 minutes after we finally got drinks.
Food arrival: Main dishes arrived next to appetizers. While manager removed the cost, it still kinda ruined the experience. No matter how you look at it, either appetizer (which we waited entirely too long on and defeated the purpose in even ordering it) OR the main dish, one of them is getting cold! We did NOT receive extras we ordered and they completely forgot my wife's soup! My son wanted honey mustard for his french fries but of course, it was not received because waitress told us to not order it but she will bring it later. It came so late, his fries were nearly gone by the time sauce was brought to us.
Parties vs severe delays: There were a few birthday parties the night we were there. This apparently was the cause for all the confusion, folks running behind, late dishes, inadequate attention to all customers, etc. **While the manager clearly stated the 'parties' are always seem to be held on that specific night and it always backs up the kitchen and makes things a mess. Well, if that is the case, why isn't that issue being addressed! Chili's, you ever think of that!? Manager took cost off bill for the appetizer but that doesn't really do the trick -- experience was...
Read moreUnfortunately my experience at this location has left a lot to be desired. I asked to sit at the bar and several of the spots were dirty, but the rest of the area seemed clean. I could tell they were short staffed, so I adjusted my expectations accordingly and was patient. After placing my drink order, I reviewed the menu. I let the bartender know I was ready to order and as I placed my order, I was them informed they had no soup at all. It was lunch on a Friday so I was there for the lunch special, would've been nice to know sooner. I took a few more minutes and flagged down the bartender. I ordered the Texas cheese fries. Someone what brought out overcooked fries and when I asked about napkins, he pointed me to the cocktail napkins in front of me. I informed him I needed silverware also. I waited about 4 minutes before he brought me anything. I needed a to go box and asked the bartender. At this point he has not interacted with me since talking my order. No one refreshed my water nor was I asked if I wanted another drink. After what appeared to be the bartender forgetting about my to go box, I got up to get a container on my own. Bartender saw me and waved me off. He brought over a container but not my bill. I sat for another 10 minutes trying to locate him and did not see him. I estimated my bill I gave the hostess the amount that I thought would cover my bill and told her I haven't seen my server so I was leaving. I am not one to dine and dash but this experience was terrible. I have never had to ask for so many things in one sitting. Normally when I ask for a box they offer to bring the bill as well or they just bring the bill. He dropped off the box so quickly I didn't even have an opportunity to ask him for the bill. He was very busy in his defense, but he did have time to speak with a friend of his that was sitting casually at the bar. I'm probably banned from this Chili's now for an alleged dine and dash, but I do feel I left enough to cover my bill and probably a couple bucks tip for the bartender. It'll be a while before I give them...
Read moreLet's start by saying the Manager named Adam is outstanding at de-escalation techniques as well as giving his team credit and taking accountability. I would give this place a much better review however a few things really irked me. As we try to find a place to go to eat for our birthdays we choose chili's because we wanted a mixed drink and they had a birthday gift (let me say we ended up with neither) but also a place to bring the kids. So when we walk in, we are a family of four and walked in alone. She asked how many kids menus and I said two. She began to sit is with some party of people I guess assuming out of nowhere we were part of it. Anyway she asked if we minded sitting at a tall table by the bar and I said no because we have two kids I'd rather have a booth because it sits lower. Next I order one of their special alcohol drinks and the manager comes out to confirm my ID, I give it to him and he says he can't sell me the drink because my ID card has a crack in it. I understand this is completely within his rights denying alcohol for any reason he or my server feels fit. I have just never encountered this before. My wife gets her drink and I'm kind of glad I didn't get one because she said it was extremely too sweet and just not at all what you'd want from a mixed drink. We laugh about it because are kids are acting wild too. Then comes my burger. I swear this burger had a whole head of lettuce on it, sliced to thin shreds like a McDonald's big Mac. Wife said nachos were good and one of my toddlers ate the pizza 🍕 she said it was good as well. Long story short. Good Manager seems like team needs little more training on how to be aware of their surroundings and how to interact with customers a little better. Let me end by saying everyone was nice but just an odd atmosphere as far as the workers and food was...
