Sushi 'n Thai — Restaurant in Hollywood

After leaving work in Pembroke Pines, I called tonight to place a pickup order so it would be ready by the time I got to the restaurant. Instead, I was quickly asked to hold, and Natalie didn't come back to the phone for 13 minutes! I took a screenshot! I walked in and she was casually talking with a co-worker and not doing anything else. I showed her my phone which was still on hold and counting the minutes and seconds and asked her, "Why are we still on hold?" She quickly got defensive and was unapologetic. When my fiance and I came back to pick up the food and pay, my fiance asked about another food bag that was sitting out because he was just double-checking that they didn't put the rice in a separate bag, and she exclaimed, "YOU GOT BASIL CHICKEN!!!" So he talked to her and and told her that he's not trying to make a big deal but that it was ridiculous to be on hold for such a long time and have no apology; he would usually speak to a manager. She quickly snapped back with an obvious attitude, "Well my name is Natalie and you can talk to my manager! The manager is here Monday-Friday 11-3!" She was obviously challenging us so now we have no choice but to talk to a manager. I have spent LOTS of money here ALL the time - either picking up or having it delivered. Pre-covid, we used to eat in all the time. This is not the first time I've been put on hold for excessive amounts of time. I have been coming here for years, and the food use to be good. But it's been downhill. The last time I came in, my food and my son's was inedible. My friend who lives by the restaurant and who came to join us said her food had absolutely no flavor. The sushi didn't taste fresh at all. And when I mentioned to the watress that the fish tasted off, she completely ignored me. But the quality of the food wasn't even my biggest qualm. After it taking an hour for her to remember we existed and give us a check after not once refilling our water, or replacing the utensils and straw that were taken away after my friend's water spilled all over the table. She had the audacity to take my card and add a tip, which was not on the original bill she handed me, I wouldn't of even noticed and I usually tip alot more until I saw that I had a completely different total from the original bill. I'm quite sure that's illegal! And this is the first time they have done so. We were suppose to take a friend out to this restaurant for her birthday that weekend and canceled her party plans for 10 people bc of how disgusted we were. My girlfriend and I decided on Thai for dinner Sunday night, we just couldn't decide on a location. The last 3 new places we've tried left us disappointed to say the least. We had noticed this little Sushi/Thai place a couple times having driven down the blvd. Well when we googled "Thai food Hollywood" this was the 2nd place on the list (The 1st was one we tried before after driving by). We both had the pad Thai with chicken, extra spicy and wet, a pair of vegetable spring rolls w/a delicious homemade sauce and I had a special request for a spicy tuna hand roll which they nailed outta the park. The tuna was top grade, very flavorful and the rice and seaweed were perfect, I could've eaten 3 more easily!! But then I wouldn't have had room for the main course. The pad Thai was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, chicken was cooked perfect and just the right amount of crushed peanuts and bean sprouts to give it a complementing crunch. 100% satisfaction!!
